I would give Flygon this signature move, to make up for it being GameFreak's least favorite Dragon-type: Desert's Fury. -Type/Category: Ground, Special -Power: 120, 98 against two targets -Accuracy: 70%, perfect accuracy in a sandstorm -PP: 10 (max: 16) -Range: All active opponents -Effects: Ignores Flying's immunity to Ground, as well as the immunity granted by Levitate. A Pokémon with Earth Eater is still unaffected, except for regaining a quarter of its max HP. Has a 30% chance to burn the target(s). With Desert's Fury, Flygon will become a menace on sand teams, as a Ground-type move that can hit Flying-types and Levitate mons means that Skarmory and Bronzor can now be hit super effectively by Flygon's STAB. And on its Sand Stream set, it won't rely on other sand setters like Ttar to grant it that perfect accuracy.

Tapu Koko/Bulu not getting Play Rough was one of the biggest movepool disappointments for Gen 7 IMO. Bulu especially I mean come on man that thing looks like it would Play Rough as fuck, and it'd be a cool move to use on like CB or SD sets because it could actually immediately threaten Dragon-types, especially Mega Latias. It would be a significantly safer option to click vs a possible Torn-T pivot instead of having to go for Stone Edge. Tapu Koko having such a shitty physical movepool despite having a higher Attack stat is dumb. Like yea lets give it 115 Attack but only give it U-turn, Brave Bird, and the worst physical Electric move in existence (Wild Charge). They even threw salt in the wound by giving it Thunder Punch but not Fire or Ice Punch so it could actually hit Lando/Glisc or Ferro without needing to resort to Hidden Power (and in Gen 8 they just straight up axed Hidden Power anyway lmao).

This isn't quite right, odds are more like 2 in 10k. You need to multiply the .7^7 by 8 choose 7, which is 8, and multiply .1^4 by 8 choose 4, which is 70. @@apollopollo622 basically, the chance of getting 4 special drops is low, but you had 8 chances to get 4 special drops. If there had been 1000 focus blasts, 4 special drops wouldn't be very impressive. 8 choose 4 is a way of saying the number of ways something can happen 4 times given 8 chances. I actually messed up as well with my last message, since you also include the probabilities of the other events. For focus blast hits, this means .7^7 times .3^1 since there's a miss too. For special drops, this is .1^4 times .9^4, for the 4 times the special didn't drop. I don't know how this changes the calculation, it probably puts it closer to 1 in 10k rather than 2 in 10k.

REGULAR Aero Head Smash does comparable damage to a Mega Lopunny Hi Jump Kick; this is with a Jolly nature and without even using a boosting item. I kind of think that Suicune and Articuno should get Aura Sphere, seeing that they are legendary Pokémon that would give large and strong auras. In regard to Pursuit, Mightyena wants that move so badly. And now it will never get it.

Sd pursuit sucker Ttar. Is just national dex king gambit. Like any dark w/ suit, sucker, knock. Is just evil. That being said. Dragapult should get poltergeist, give lando rock polish back, and brave bird/Acro. Electrics should get volt tackle or double shock. Only pika and clones be hogging the good stuff. Pikachu is a parasite.

I actually dedicated an entire metagame to this very sentence. The number of move additions is 2189 🥲 Among which of course, the infamous Slack Off Snorlax, Spiky Shield Ferrothorn, Sucker Punch Weavile, First Impression Escavalier, Brave Bird Aerodactyl, U-turn Zeraora or Air Slash Zapdos. Also factors added abilities, but that might be for a later comment on a future video 😉

I dont neccesarilly disagree about Aura Sphere Focus Blast thing, but i think people genuinely forgot the "why" about Aura Sphere Back in gen 4 it was VERY clearly made to be a unique, legendary special sort of move. It was 100% made for Lucario of course, and the only other owner of the move was the Origin Trio, Mew and Mewtwo, and Togekiss a pokemon thats given a massive amount of elusive elements - notably having Extremespeed and Aura Sphere. Both very rare moves. In fact Lucario had access to the exact same combo. Its kinda not about it making sense and such - the move just wasnt made as a generic fighting move. In Gen V its only given to ONE line. In gen 6 its give to two more line, and one of them was to set up a thematic decision for Mega Blastoise, and the other is Clawitzer who is basically MIni Mega Blastoise. Even comes Gen 7, only Magearna gets it Theres a lot of moves that makes sense for some stuff to get because its a generic move that fits mons who doesnt get it - most notable is probably Dragon Dance. A good chunk of Dragon egg group, Dragon type, and Kaiju-likes had it that the only thing that makes sense about Garchomp/Flygon/Hydreigon not getting it was the general movepool compression that happened after gen 2. You can very much notice how much on the face smaller the movepool of Mence(who is mostly a fire breathing dragon who randomly have Hydro Pump) and moreso Garchomp(whose movepool resembles the standard set by Ground Type instead of the standard of Dragon type) was compared to Dragonite and Tyranitar casually learning BoltBeamThrower). Aura Sphere for a very long time wasn't one of that outside for pure wish fulfilment. Gen 8 made it learned by so many things that they should have turned into generic tbh Anyway Spikes on a lot of stuff Its a ground type move yet it took GEN 9 before there is a single ground type pokemon learn it through level up and its Ting Lu. Not a single ground type learned it through Egg move in fact. The obvious one is Tyranitar who isnt Ground, but was part ground. After seeing what can get it through TR in Gen 9 a bunch of things probably could get it imo Definitely not balanced though lul Gen 5 also have a bizzare trend of moves that used to be learned by everything ever, just wasnt. Not sure if its been fixed though. Seisimitoad and Keldeo not having Ice Beam access and and the Unova Dragon Trio having evidently big body but no Earthquake is the most notable one i think

I think the gen 9 knock off stuff is the stupidest distribution of a move in my mind, Knock Off requires a weapon or a blow which does significant knockback, causing the opponent to stumble or trip, dropping their tiem. Because of this, I dont see why pokemon with blades or smaller, more dainty hands e.g Samurott, Iron Valiant, etc, shoukd get knock off I guess i see why Great Tusk gets knock off, maybe it just barrels into people to knock them over. But if this was the case, shouldnt the tauros get it too? i mean, they also have big massive horns and are fast. The pokemon that do get this move is weird too. Alolan Muk is a pile of sludge who apparently can send its foes flying back despite it being a pile of ooze. Gardevoir can get it despite being a special attacker, same with Iron Jugulis, and so does freaking Pelipper. A bird, who doesnt really punch hard with its wings. I think the most criminal case of a pokemon not getting Knock Off is iron hands. with 140 base attack and massive fists - *hands* is literally in its name, i always thought it should be able to learn the move. Landorus also notably lost Knock Off this gen, which was one of its best utility + coverage moves (i gotta run crunch now, this sucks)

SD + Sucker Punch TTar would basically be a bulkier Bisharp with amazing coverage, especially in Gen 9 where it gets Knock Off

When I think moves pokemon "should" get, I think more of TM/tutor/egg moves. Those moves are actually readily available to be taught in game, and I was looking more for times you wonder why on earth a TM/tutor doesn't work. So Lati twins/flamethrower immediately comes to mind. Every dragon in gens 3/4 other than Kingdra and Giratina gets it IIRC. It really doesn't make any sense that the Lati twins (and giratina for that matter) don't. Gyarados not getting rock slide in g3 is kinda weird. It gets stone edge in g4, and arbok gets rock slide in g3.

I would love to see OM-type formats for old gens where Pokemon gain access to moves they gain in later generations along the line of RBY tradebacks. Pokemon that jump out to me are Clefable getting Soft-Boiled, Aerodactyl getting Rock Slide and EQ, and Garchomp getting Spikes.

My dream moves give mega ampharos & serperior Draco metor & give azumaril n ampharos wish I understand those would be busted but they would be really nasty in singles & id love to see a serperior mega evo that gives it a dragon typing! I think a lot more mons need baton pass, it’s still really slim pickings when trying to find mons that are good baton passers essentially u get pinned into picking illumise, umbreon, Sylveon & espeon the only really good one is musharna but u pretty much gotta run trick room teams for it it was nice they started adding more mons with hex & stored power in gen 8 but they really need to add more simple beam mons I think quagsire & slowking would be good picks for it & yah I hope they give more mons access to accuracy boosting moves it’d be nice if they could make a calm mind hone claws hybrid that ups accuracy and special defense honestly just more stat raising moves would be nice in general it’s so shwank gen 9s best way for 2/3rds of the games lifetime before we got simple beam back was just spam donzo-o n tatsugiri other then that I just want more metronome mons & for possibly legendary moves animations but with toned down power on normal mons & moves like octozooka, fire lash, inferno, darkest lariat acupressure transform to be on more mons moves that are exclusive to just 1 to 4-5 need to be given to like 20-45 mons at the least

My fave move editions from gen 9 Gengar getting toxic spikes was a blessing hex with toxic spikes is menacing always wanted to run toxic spikes but never had the mon to do so, & giving Vaporeon calm mind u really had to use aromatic mist or run light screen to protect ur vaporeon if ur trying to get it to build stats wish n stored power is great combo I usually run a weakness policy one and yah being forced to raise its special defense stats with aromatic mist is tough cuz there is like 2-3 Pokémon that even have that move to begin with so maybe give aromatic mist to more mons too oh and they gave my boy Empoleon roost in the Pearl n diamond remakes FINALLY!
