This is my all-time favourite TV documentary of Movie Connections.

6:26 I'm not really a giggler, or a chuckler or a chortler but Holy Grail had me chuckling uncontrollably right from the very start when the castle dwellers ignore what Arthur says and start asking awkward questions about where he got the coconuts. I knew from the first few seconds I was going to enjoy the film. And watching this look back on it has reminded me how heartbroken I was for Sir Galahad when he was dragged from Castle Anthrax (21:10) after he realised what delights awaited him...

I'd love to see the film with the original Neil Innes soundtrack. Of course it would feel weird because I've seen it so many times with the stock music and I'm completely used to it. Thanks for the upload.

It is God's sense of balance for the best comedy ever written to have the worst ending, not written.

They say they wanted to make a film not a series of sketches. But Holy Grail is a series of sketches with a running character and plot point . But look at the ‘cocoanut/swallow scene, it’s a sketch. French Taunter is a sketch, so is Constitutional Peasant, ‘she’s a witch’ The Knights who say Ni, Swamp Castle, castle anthrax, the holy hand-grenade, the black Knight, they’re ALL sketches. Look at Life of Brian, the same. Monty Python was always sketch based no matter how much they tried to distance themselves from it.
