This is proof that the Battle of Wolf 359 was filmed using miniatures and models. And the Saratoga getting blown to smithereens was one epic shot. I hope that they find all the elements from that battle to reconstruct it in High Definition.

Love this show. Too bad they didn't mention the miniature effects maestro Derek Meddings.

I agree. Meddings should have been mentioned in this episode, especially for his work on “Superman” as well as several James Bond films.

Nowadays you can 3d print the models making it faster than building it by hands.

it's kind of sad to hear a different reason in every episode and every effects shop about why digital effects aren't as good as practical ones. none of those reasons really held up.

This show also came out in mid 1990s. We have far more powerful machines now.
