Great movie! Did anyone else notice how peoples interaction with Marcus changed? For example the cashier when he bought the Gatorade, before he was kinda stand-off-ish (he was holding the bag close to his chest until he was sure he’ll be paid) because he knew that Marcus was involved with the wrong crowd often stealing, as he did with the shoes. However, his viewpoint of Marcus changed at the end when he was handing him the bag (literally held the bag right in front of Marcus’s face) because he trusted him like ‘I know you’re going to pay I trust you Marcus’. This little detailed made me smile.

...but why does it have to be football (the popularity of soccer in UK is equal to basketball in USA black communities.) why can't it be the Chess club calendar he pulls out instead of a sports jersey, or notebook for his poetry club, or calculator for his accounting class? Why's it gotta be football.......? Can blacks only escape troubles and poverty with these sports dreams?!

This is exactly what i needed to confirm my choice in my path. Ive been making horrible decisions and im 25. Almost died December 12th cause i flipped my car texting and speeding arguing with people that dont even matter to me anymore. I fractured my back close to my spine. In 2 places. Thankfully God gave me another chance ! And i havent taken it for granted. Cut off the people that had me in that situation and beat myself up for even driving frustrated & under the influence. Im going to make it my mission to speak to younger people about those impulse decisions that end up deciding your life path. I beat up myself already about driving under the influence and im thankful i didnt hurt anybody besides myself. LIFE IS REAL PEOPLE! Dont under estimate shit and dont think you’re invisible! God Bless

Agreed. A+ movie. Beautiful message. The title is apropos. I do wonder if Marcus was actually given a second chance at life, by way of actually being stabbed and imagining that he could go back and make things better. Does he survive his injury and now live a clean life because of what he saw (his life flashing before his eyes), or was the injury just a dream? Did he have it the night before his friends asked him to leave football behind to join their gang? I love a movie that gives you a lot to think about.

Great film. Ones like this are always up for different levels of interpretation. The scene when he dies in prison and then travels back in time seems to be most commonly interpreted as him having a second chance at life and being able to go back and make better choices. I on the other hand interpreted it as his life flashing before his eyes. While passing he saw visions of all the negative choices he made and those same choices ultimately shaped his life in that moment of death. This should be an eye opener to both youth and adults because unlike in this film we never actually get a chance to go back in time and make better choices. It’s now or never. 💕

This was a great short film. Even tho we can't go back in time to change the choices we made, we still get a second chance in life. Just think of a point in your life that you felt like this is it for you but somehow you pull through, to me that's a second chance. I had many life changes, some were because someone did me wrong and God and my ancestors were watching over me and others are my poor thinking. As I get older I realized I need to think of what is the outcome of my decision.

Choices we make have an effect and affect on ppl around us as well... our Choices will also help others make better choices too! Great movie with an awesome message.. I have always talked to my kids about this very thing t and I can say my boys. Sorry MEN now, who at ages 23 and 21 got the messageI taught them they are not on drugs they cut off toxic friends and family ..all in all, all throughout life they will always think of the long term effects before doing anything .. they both are very successful, kid free, drug free, drama free, and statistics free young men! I'm so very proud of them, bc as much as we teach our kids the way things to avoid they still grow up to find their own way and paths to follow!
