This makes the frustration of being the only one at my high school who knows of, let alone loves Tarkovsky, all the more suffocating. I've started introducing teachers to his works to fight the current.

Three shots, four minutes. Tarkovsky is my favourite filmmaker for many reasons. That's just one of them.

Yeap...Marvel movies are one shot every 2 seconds...you got that right as a former college movie student i tell you

feels like a graveyard here. anyways, funny to see all these comments concerning the director. i came for the actress, a woman named Guðrún Gísladóttir, who also has a very captivating performance in a Of Monsters and Men lyric video, called ‘Black Water.’ this film looks very intriguing, and maybe some day i’ll happen upon it and watch. until then, i’ll be thinking of her instead.

Well,this kind of film's ART! I mean,cinematography art,not for everyone to enjoy~just for a few ones,as it's not "a popcorn movie". However,REM sleep's hard to achive...good for you!

He was exiled by that point. The guy was kind of a persecuted artist in his day.

Yeah, that was a bit strong of a word. However, I've always felt sorry for how Tarkovsky was treated. It's obvious that he loved Russia deeply.

Laughton vlog Presumably because there was no explosions, multiple cut-aways and someone saying "motherfucker" every minute

the most Chehovian piece by Tarkovskij, it's surprising that he needed to go abroad to make it; on the other hand it was the year of Tschernobyl i prefer "Solaris"
@lieberman7015 жыл бұрын
I love solaris. But why must the other tarkovsky films leave you in such a terrible state of depression? I don't enjoy that. Sorry. Defenitely one for the bookshelf though. :-( helsingar/paka
