Stan Deen was my English teacher back in the 1970’s. He truly was a unique and loved person. He was extremely charismatic and was known throughout the area. If you search him on KZbin you will see multiple stories of his life with the actual Stan Deen. My disappointment was the actor they chose to portray Stan fell far short of capturing his true personality, not to mention that Stan was attractive, not so much the actor in this movie 😊. It was fun to see my old high school featured in the film - all accept the athletic field; Garden Spots field was under construction at the time of filming so they used nearby McCaskey High Schools field. The house in the movie was actually Stan Deens house too. Stans productions at Garden Spot High School especially in the 70s were highly renowned. Several of his students went on to Broadway, considering this is in a small town school in the middle of PA Dutch and Amish country, that’s saying something 😊

I honestly liked the balance of school and other topics. It just reminded me so much of the 80s with fashion and music. The Replacements was a shock and I loved it!

I sont love anything Christian. I know most believers aren't the type that started the inquisition etc but the pain, death and lies spread and caused by any religion are disgusting beyond belief

I understand your sentiment. I think a common misnomer is that Christians think they’re “better,” but the reality is we know we are failures and sinners. That is why we put our trust and faith in Jesus. He is our only way to forgiveness, but we still struggle and mess up on a daily basis.
