I love BWP! I saw it in the theatre when it first came out, loved the ad campaign that it was all real!, Took my GF to her home that night and had to walk home alone during a rainstorm in the night right next to a forest! I was so spooked! Love it! My favourite found footage movie is "Man Bites Dog" and recently enjoyed Hell House LLC.

I absolutely love the second movie . I remembered as a teenager thinking of this movie possibly being real? Theater was pretty quiet after it ended.

I'm excited to watch the second movie after hearing about it from you and one other person! Two recs in one day means I’m checking it out for sure! 🙌🏻 Yes! I’m glad I found out it wasn’t real before I went. It would have scared the bejeezus out of me. 🤣☠️

I think that when Blair Witch, was released, people thought it really happened and that's what probably made it scary. Plus, because you don't really see anything and it's all in your head, I think that's what made it creepy. I thought it was alright, and I mean the original and remake.

Hi David! Yes! I remember people discussing whether or not it was real and I was informed it was not before I made it to the theater. Thank goodness, because I can see how believing it truly happened could scare the poo out of someone! It would have gotten to me for sure! It’s interesting to hear from people who watched it with that mindset. They had a completely different experience than me and it blows my mind that one movie could invoke wildly different reactions like that. Mad credit for that for sure! 🤘🏻

I think it was mind blowing when it was released because it was a new style, but I’ve watched similarly shot movies, so I thought it was just okay. And I also knew the movie wasn’t real. Back when it came out, they were acting like the movie was real.

Yes! I definitely believe knowing it wasn’t real made a big difference in the viewing experience. I would have been terrified had I thought it was real. lol!!

Hello there ✌️😀 I did love the movie the first time I watched it. I watched it again a few years ago and I was bored to tears knowing what happens. Still hold it in positive regard. SPOILER TALK I'm confused why people think the Witch killed them at the end. Remember when they interview the townspeople in the beginning? A guy talks about a child-killer who made one kid stand in the corner while he killed another. The characters were chased by the Witch, but were killed by the...ghost of that guy...maybe?

You know, you make a great point. It seems the witch would have someone else do her bidding like the first time around. Ooh, the rabbit trail of possibilities!

@@DarkVioletDreams 😮 I never thought about the Witch and child-killer working together!!! I love open endings like that. That's life. No explanation to a lot of things, especially the supernatural.

I get that wanting to put a positive spin on things, I want to do that too and it's hard not to when it's not good. The ending still bothers me. I'd say my only favourite found footage film would be As Above, So Below.

Yes. I’m so uncomfortable with having unpopular opinions. I need to drop my people-pleasing ways. 🤣 As Above, So Below was awesome! So much to love about that one!

I went to the theater to watch this as well. I have to admit I was afraid to go into my cellar for a long time afterwards.

I will say I am not a fan of found footage films because it gives me a headache (so I didn’t like the Blair witch project), but Cloverfield was interesting, even though I wasn’t a fan of that film as well.
