What an amazing collection. Cinema 1 in my hometown were clearing the Harry Potter ultimate editions for $4.95CAD earlier in the summer and I skipped getting them because they were missing two of them and I am running out of space. This year ended with less purchases than 2022 which I averaged nearly 7 physical media pieces every day. This is my 2023 haul: 594 DVDs, 719 Blu-rays, 43 3D Blu-rays and 109 4K UHD Blu-rays for a total of 1,465 physical media discs which makes it just a smidge over 4 a day.

Wow Tony! That is incredible! I see you have protective covers over a lot of them, but it also looked like lots were unopened in shrink wrap still. In those cases, do you have another copy that is for watching then you keep other sealed? You are missing the hairy DVD edition of the jackets and stuff that I shown multipletimes :) The hairy slip you know. Love your Kino collection. I have every bust I need of the once you have except the old school planet of the apes bust. If I was in your city I would absolutely drop by and watch some films with you. Really great place. Freaking love this collection and layout. My only fear with having a collection in the basement is a pipe exploding and just flooding the place. Love the amount of care that goes into each movie. Wrapped in plastic and taken care of.

Wow. Just wow. I swear your collection grown immensely since the last room tour video I watched several years ago. You could probably add a couple in-ceiling speakers if you wanted to upgrade to Dolby Atmos surround sound.

The collection got huge between 2019 and now. I have been out of control. With such a small space, my speakers work pretty well. I have a 5.1 surround sound system.

So when you receive new titles to slot into your already pretty full a-z shelves to you have to shuffle every shelf along one etc presumably? That’s where I have fallen down as I have a fairly neat a-z shelving arrangement but new additions just stacked in random order for now. You have done a great job with your organizing

Hi! If they are nice boxsets, like the long sets in the center of the room, yes I keep those sealed. I want to protect them for as long as possible. I do keep most boxsets sealed, but a few have been opened. If I want to watch the film, then I typically already have just a regular release in the collection to watch. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!

Nice collection, Tony! I noticed a lot of your movies look wrapped. Do you reseal them?

I place all of my slipcovers and steelbooks into plastic sleeves to protect them, however, there are a lot that are still factory sealed. I only open them when I am ready to watch. I also have a lot of duplicate titles in the collection, so one may be open for me to view, while the other(s) stay sealed. I appreciate you watching!

Very cool to see behind the curtain.. Im sure you've heard this before, but you must be very proficient at assembling shelves. Speaking of which, do you have a favorite shelf brand/type?

I have put together so many shelves and I hate it every single time, but it is nice to expand the space. I have found that I get the most on the shelf with the Atlantic Elite, but I hate the middle section that holds a small item like CD cases. amzn.to/3tSlF5c
