Classic Sonic winning the race makes sense since Classic Sonic was able to time travel in Sonic CD which means Sonic in Sonic CD was running at the Speed of light . While Movie Sonic can just run at the speed of sound .

You know it is hard to think classic sonic is past version of modern sonic cause first of all he has pupils his eyes are not green 2 he has peach eyelids modern sonic has blue and they both have different blue color classic sonic shoes are quite different than modern sonics shoes and different body shape and other visible things I don't think classic eggman is the same as modern eggman classic is more fat and there mustache styles are different and what did he just switch outfits I don't think so explain Amy knuckles and tails to me
