One of the things u will notice with Vijay movies post 2010, is he's completely toned down his massy naughty style of talking & idiosyncrasies. He's still the same vijay but now he appears more fair skinned due to more make-up with a neat hairstyle from 2012 from Thuppakki, he talks but they look elegant & smooth rather than the rough unpolished local style with sarcasm intended to entertain we saw in movies like Thirumalai, Ghilli, Madurey, Thirupaachi, Sachein, Sivakasi, Aadhi, Pokkiri, Kuruvi etc. His dancing is slightly simpler instead of the complex steps he did in the past IMO (barring few films from 2011-2013) & his sarcastic style of talking is no longer visible, this movie is the real vijay that most fans like me can relate with. Even this is the appearance we fans miss from Vijay, rugged messy hair & completely rooted locally & a very relatable Tamil guy who's a boy next door.

Is it maybe just an age issue though? As he's got older, he's maybe became more aware of his looks and maintaining that youthful edge he has, because the guy honestly looks half his age at times. And certainly has the energy levels of a man in his twenties. Obviously an actor and person is going to evolve and change over time anyway. But we've watched a good chunk of his movies, going back 30 years nearly, and I personally think the guy is great throughout that period. He's been very consistent since his transition to action star.

@@MovieBurnerEntertainment you have a valid point, though it also can be the audience who've changed coz he had his worst phase from (late 2007-2010), as either his movies were flops or below average in box office returns & he kinda realised his movies weren't working & he had to change a certain style & I believe that's why he's successful this time around.
