The fact that it was true is the best part. I was a Jr. Sr in high school when all this happened. Carter came in office with no chance. It was all his fault . Even in 74 when open cut of oil. Carter was the reason. Problem was he was elected in 76. Cia put Shah of Iran in power in 1952. He was overturn in 54. Then we put him back in in 56. Then he was as bad as saddam minus to to psycho sons. He stole 400 million and fled Iran in 79 getting turned down by everyone to seek asylum . Only our Christian values let him in US. He had a while floor of Plaza Hotel when they took 44 americans hostage. After month or so. Give us the shah and you get 44 back. Nope. Poor shah was not going to be handed over to be hung in the street. No. They just wanted him to be tried in public and die a slow death. That's cause he had terminal liver cancer. So Republicans let them stay 15 months. Could have been 13. The day after Raygun was inaugurated. The hostages were freed. Of course it was all Carters fault. That is why only us at that time remember who things were not that bad bur only one guy was at fault. Then the 80 Hockey team was motivated for this moment by a no nonsense Minnesota hockey coach that brought us together. We won 6 golds in Lake Placid. Hockey Team 1. Eric Heiden the other 5. So kids. When you see MJ. Ok. Kobe. Shaq. Brady. Arod. All these guys with all this talent. Eric Heiden won the 500 meter speedskate, 1000, 1500,5000,and 10,000 . That's like winning the 100 meter,200 ,400, 3200 and 5000 .set Olympic records in all and 2 world records. His 10,000 race he was hanging out with Olympic hockey team. He new them cause he played hockey till13. Wisc and Minnesota guys. They didn't know he had race st 9am next morning. So about 3 4 someone sees him and says he has the 10,000 in 5 hours. He was taken home and was woke up 45 minutes to start of race. He jumped up grabbed couple pieces of bread and showed up 10 minutes till start. He usually was there 90 minutes before. No problem. Sets world record. That my friends is the best olympics performance ever. He was 21. He only raced 1 more year cause other skaters said you have to let them see you one last time. Even 43 years later. He would be recognized and be like Jordan in Europe.

Egypt was actually an ally of Russia during Gamal Abdel Nasser's presidency. But when Anwar Sadat became president they switched sides. When asked why he said, "the Soviet Union can give you arms, but only the United States can give you a selection."

Militant Socialist Saddat allied with USSR at first time, but later he blame USSR for lost of war of 1973, and demand free weapon from USSR
@عطاء_3337 жыл бұрын
DartLuke technically 1973 was not lost Egypt got its lost land
@dkupke6 жыл бұрын
1. The Soviets had armed Egypt for a long time, but the weapons were usually of only a defensive nature and were pretty shoddy at best, hence Egypts defeat in the Six Days War. Sadat demanded better weaponry, the Soviets refused to supply. 2. Egypts economy was in shambles and badly needed loans. Saudi Arabia and other gulf oil producers were keen to reduce Soviet influence in the region, as well as gain a political cover for their inactivity in the prior Arab-Israelis wars, and thus offered Sadat a lot of $$$ to give the Soviets the boot 3. Sadat had decided it was time for Egyptian national interest to take precedent above “the Arab Cause,” and hence his willingness to deal with the US and other allies of Israel, if it meant Egypt would benefit from it. And he wasn’t alone, as most of Egyptian society was fed up with absorbing the brunt of the losses in those wars with no discernible benefit to them.
@fran92015 жыл бұрын
Militant Socialist just like China was allied with the USSR until Sino Soviet split ocured in the 60s and in 1969 the Sino Soviet border war happened and China broke off relations with the USSR.
@fran92015 жыл бұрын
Militant Socialist well the USSR still armed Egypt during the October war in 1973 and when Israel won over Syria and Egypt the USSR stopped armed Egypt after that and Iraq became the USSR's second most trustworthy ally in the Arab World after Libya.

Nowadays its this attitude: "If I am going to pay 7,8 or 20 dollars to watch a movie in the theatre - it better a spectacle, I am ain't watching people talking! or it has enough people talking it on social media so that I to can post a meme online..."
