Most people in Hollywood are extremely disconnected from reality, have little to no worldly knowledge and experience, and a lot of times don't even care about people. I've heard countless stories of minorities doing casting and being treated like disposable stereotypes. In King of the Hill, Mike pulled from his real-life memories of people; the rest of it was a mix of brilliance and casting by him and his team. The documentary is amazing. He has a soul, unlike most of the industry.

Yes, this movie becomes more relevant the longer you have a big boy (or big girl) job. It also serves as a great example of how NOT to be if you find yourself in any level of management.

Wasn't until I graduated college and started working in a real office that I realized how terrifyingly true-to-life it was. The fact that this movie makes me stressed as a form of relatable entertainment makes it a masterpiece.

Peter's reactions after both times he hears it are absolutely flawless.

So, your comment made me do some research. Turns out Matrix and Office Space came out the same year, 1999. I'm going to go listen to some Prince, now.

Same people who, while they might have had a bowl of cereal, a bagel with cream cheese, or a breakfast sandwich from some fast food restaurant a couple of hours ago, would grab a donut or two from the dozens of boxes laid out in the break room. It's me. I'm those people.

1:24 their look of absolute disgust and disdain towards that woman's comment is the most relatable thing in this movie.

Closed captioning can't pronounce his name right either. When he is describing his name it says "Hey it's not that hard a night eatin and a job naina" LOL!!

The commercial with some of the cast and Michael Bolton was just great. Kudos to Michael for that.

The takedown of Michael Bolton and finding a way to incorporate it into a movie is priceless.

Great movie. I'm retired now but I do miss my days of working in an office and all of the social interaction that came with it.

Judge nailed it. Those typical chain restaurants with lots of stuff on the walls are always next to big ugly office buildings. And try to spice up the "fun" by including adjectives on all the food names - "pizza shooters, shrimp poppers, extreme fajitas."

One of the most underrated aspects of this scene is Samir’s genuine frustration that people struggle to pronounce Nagheenanajar.

I didn’t just watch this movie. I LIVED IT! My office was going through a huge, useless reorganization at the same time the movie came out. It was flippin’ surreal when I went to see it!

The HR lady has very pretty eyes. Even though she can't pronounce Samir's last name correctly. I think it's pronounced Naga... Naga... not gonna work here anymore!
