The "Roto-Broil 400" was the "Instant Pot" of it's time! (The ad reminds me of the Honeymooners episode, "Better Living thru TV" 😄). These videos are a hoot to watch. Thanks!

I believe the roller skaters are "The Skating Carters" (also known as "The Carters"). You can see the near-exact act in the 1943 Columbia musical comedy short," "My Wife's an Angel" which is also on KZbin and then you can decide for yourself if it's the same people.

As always thank you for uploading all these wonderful classics. The superb quality of your presentations sets you apart from all others here on KZbin! I've always wondered if anyone out there has the Super Circus 'Superman Saves the Circus' (1955) episode with guest-star George Reeves ?

Thank you. That Superman episode would be quite a find. There is always hope!

Originally telecast on ABC's Sunday afternoon schedule at 5pm(et). The show was divided into two separate half-hour segments, to accommodate their sponsors. Usually, the first half was sponsored by Schutter-Johnson Candy, the makers of Chunky. The 5:30pm segment- as seen here- was presented by Roto-Broil Corp. of America {Roto-Broil "400"}; on alternate weeks, Hartz Mountain sold their bird seed and other fine pet-related products.

Producer Martin Stone- and Edward Kean- were previously associated with "HOWDY DOODY".

IMO Claude Kirschner was a much better ringmaster than Jerry Colonna. Jerry should have stuck to what he did best - weird and outrageous comedy.

Wow. I guess Jerry C. didn’t have the pile of dough that Bob Hope had by then!
