Showing Kier as a black man is such a crazy slap in the face to Milchik. It doesn't show compassion for him to give him those pictures. I'm sure Milchik saw himself in Kier already. To essentially say "Well obviously you can't relate to ACTUAL Kier" and show him pictures of Kier altered as black only shows how LUMON already thinks of him as different

If you look at the image of how Jesus is portrayed and then consider where he was born you will see there is a vast difference of reality and what we are shown. We are only further down the path than Milchik and many who don’t use critical thinking can’t comprehend another possibility.

I think the exchange between milchick snd natalie are because of racial issues. She's also a POC. they are basically just gifted blackface kier and expected to be touched and thankful when it's actually messed up considering the weird power dynamic. They look at eachother knowingly because they both feel offended but can never say so

I think they’ve been using dead body’s to create workers. That’s what the testing floor is. The little girl said she was a crossing guard, could have got hit and Lumon got her body. Marks wife died and Lumon somehow got her body. Both are super emotionless. Probably the same with the guy Helly was with. Probably planned on doing the same with Corbel.

Heli is also just to joyous. She's so happy walking through the hallways. She seems to also know the way to the goats pretty easily with Mark. Also even when surrounded, there is this confidence vs a anxiety or fear. she just knows everything will be fine.

I have not read a lot of theories about a topic that, to me, seems to be a big part of the plot, and that would be: Babies, birth and children. The most obvious hint is this whole goat-stuff, especially after s2e3, but first time i noticed it was in s1 when marc was watching the tv news, Natalie was interviewed about the topic of a woman who got pregnant at work while being severed. Besides that, marcs sister is/ was pregnant, the severed wife of the senator seemingly just existing for giving birth, marc having dates with Rebeck's nurse, Cobelvig being some kind of pediatric nurse herself, Eagan reffering to workers as children of Kier... and the lady the lexington letter was about was a schoolbus driver too! Lots of similar topics here Not sure where this is leading, but it did not get discussed as much as i would have expected. Also, Melchik's family seems to have been a part of the company from the start, probably the history of the Melchiks with Lumen has something to do with slavery?

Many of them said the last scene of that episode is arguably one of the greatest scenes in TV history. I just can't wait to see what it's about!!

I also thought that Cobel knew the driver. It was my first thought when she hesitated as soon as she saw him. It gave me the impression that the driver was a severed version of the late husband she always talks about. Helena’s face after she sees the driver was smug kind of like “we can do whatever we want and you should understand that” type of way. Idk that’s the first thing I thought.

It’s a company town, every severed employee has a spouse that is already a Lumon employee. The spouses sent them to the severed floor. Burt sent Irving, Gemma sent Mark, Gretchen sent Dylan, & Rick N might be a current or past employee, already severed, or an Eagan. Cobel saw the driver “Baird Eagan” and ran (also to avoid “reset”). Natalie = “Get Out” Kier & The Eagans are on a hard drive “the board”, or in cryo like Walt Disney (who also has company towns) 😭🙈🥀

I can’t believe Mark reintegrated so quickly!! To be honest it doesn’t feel like a great choice story-wise, since the whole plot has revolved around the two worlds Mark lives in. That being said I fully trust Ben Stiller and the writing team on this show, so if they made this decision so early I’m sure it was for good reason.

Up until that point she was focused on trying to leverage the situation and convince Helena to let her back in MDR. As soon as she stops and notices the driver/bodyguard, she realizes she is absolutely not in control and is walking straight into a trap

They’re all “Kier’s children”-Harmony, Natalie, Seth-you can sense the underlying sibling rivalry in every interaction. Ricken, Rebek, and the rest of those oddballs? They’re Kier’s children too. Each of them has a role to play in Kier’s grand design

Ambrose and Myrtle, who are supposed to be Kier and Imogene's chidren, were born in the 1880s when Imogene would have been past childbearing age. I don't think Kier has any real children of his blood. He only has "children of industry". Or there was some VERY early IFV/cloning going on.

When Harmony said, "you don't have a choice" I think that confirms that Harmony isn't just an employee. She has rank in this organization besides her job. Personally, she was giving me big Auntie vibes. I wouldn't be surprised if she's Helena's Aunt or half Aunt or something. And in spite of my best hopes, I'm starting to slide over to the Helena side of the Helly/Helena mystery. Because I feel like Helly would have definitely gone in for a passionate kiss at that moment. And Mark hesitated because he senses that there's something off about her. All that being said, she could just be feeling guilty about who she really is and has very conflicted feelings.

1) Mark and Irv both know that Helena is present and not Helly. 2) The goats have something to do with the severed workers. In the intro Mark's head turns into a goat. 3) Gretchen, Dylan's wife, works for Lumon Security, she is seen coming down the stairs in what appears to be the same uniform as the people we see mark check in and out with every day. 4) Why do they need a Exports Hall when they don't make anything, that we know of, but rather preserve and store things. 5) Devin and Ricken will be divided about Natalie and Lumon's request to rewrite his book, because of Mark. 6)Harmony Cobel is an illegitimate child of Jame Egan. 7) The two Marks will learn to love each others lives and relationships and when he went to see Ragabi standing in the doorway one side of his silhouette was red and the other blue. The background was blue and his shirt is red, the machine is blue and the buttons are red. Just like in the intro, the innie is in blue and the outtie is in red. 8) Milchick is going to go against Lumon in some way, it is brewing.

I always thought Natalie and Milchick seemed severed, like permanently, with no memory or identity outside their jobs. There’s something so unnaturally calm and perfect about their performances. Maybe they’re just deep in the Lumen cult? One of those delightfully weird touches of the show. But his clear displeasure with the paintings shows Milchick has some humanity.

In the intro there is the part where red pajamas mark fumbles to the elevator then suit jacket marks lifts up the wall like a curtain then on the other side button shirt mark is carrying red pajamas mark I think button shirt mark represents the reintegrated version of Mark helping red pajamas mark navigate the severed floor

I don’t think Helena was looking at Helly with a look of shame when she kissed Mark. Instead, I think she was speechless and marveling at the fact that Helly has found what appears to be romance and love; things Helena has never personally experienced due to her upbringing.

I wonder if the innies are just their outties w/o trauma. Almost like a pure version of themselves. Bc Dillion was a go getter and the most confident of the group. Marc isn't afraid of feelings or an alcoholic. Irvin seems like he's a man on a mission on the outside, so maybe he Lost somebody he loved to lumen which is why his any was such a die-hard devoted believer and fell so hard for Bert. And hella, let's be real she's been indoctrinated because of her family name, so naturally she would be rebellious and inquisitive without that. I still believe that they're trying to bring back her and they're trying to make sure that they don't bring back innie version of him, but now I'm starting to wonder if lumen is trying to create the right combination of things to create occurs personality or whatever by indoctrinating their workers which are basic blank slates and making them devote themselves to doing the work. Almost like they're trying to create a robot version of curve with his personality or AI. This show is God damn good

I think at this point, one of the biggest indications in favor of Helena pretending to be Helly is the lack of humor and boldness in her personality. Helly has this dry, dark sense of humor that makes for fun banter between her and Mark. She is also definitely fearless, as mentioned in this video. But so far, i feel that Helly's creative and brash jokes are absent. It feels that something is missing. And of course, things have gotten more serious, but i still think the original Helly would be finding humor in things. She was still doing that after attempting suicide, so why not now?

In my opinion, I think it's still Helly! First, the way she acts with enormous empathy, I don't think it's an act. I think her raw self is genuine. The innies are touch starved and that's probably why Irv reacted that way when he was touched and hugged, just like Dylan did. And she wasn't scared of the MN department... I think Helena, even if acting, would be more composed when talking to them. Helena knows the real world and would know not to trust them or give them information. She would also know the physical threat. The older we get the more we learn and experience how people can be unpredictably dangerous. Which is something innies don't know. Helly acted like an innocent, unbiased child would. And when she had that moment with Mark she was nervous. When he was as awkward and left, she seemed perfectly okay. Just like someone being with their crush, having this tension where they know they like each other, they're just happy to be spending time together. The actors themselves have said they're like 2-year-olds. They should lack sexual assertiveness. The way they made it awkward is very realistic for the first romantic experiences of a person's life. I think Helena would've been more confident and kinda annoyed that Mark left without kissing her lmao she may look cold and like she has no life but she was a kid, teenager, and young adult once. She's probably had at least one romantic experience and let's be real, probably sexually active 🤷🏻‍♀ Edit: Sorry for grammar, English isn't my first language. Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if Helly/Helena got unsevered because if the technology is figured out enough that someone can do it in a basement or a warehouse… I really think there’s a high likelihood that lumen has perfected it… the woman who did the surgery on Mark in last night‘s episode probably knows how to do that because they do it at lumen… to me that would make the most sense… Because she would have the feelings of both now What’s interesting about the black kier paintings is this: I heard a podcast with Ben Stiller and some of the actors, including the man who plays Milichik and they were talking about what it’s like for him to be black in “this world”… and one thing I thought was really interesting when you consider that obviously the actress must know more than we do is that he said he asked Ben Stiller, (the director), “does he KNOW he’s black” and obviously, I knew right away. He didn’t mean it in a literal sense, but it was confirmed as they kept talking… He was asking if he considers himself a black man in the world… Like is he aware of that difference… Is that something that he would realize might make some awful people look down on him for and so on. They basically said that obviously he would realize he was different and have those feelings that anyone would have when they’re the odd one out, but he was asking if on like a sociological societal level, he knows he’s a black man. That made me feel like wherever they are is literally cut off from the rest of the world. I’m starting to think that when you enter this lumen world, your mind is blanked or something, even if you’re not severed… Because if he was just a man that grew up in regular society and then got a job, why would he not understand the experience of being a black person in America? Just something to think about .

Even though i also expected the reintegration to happen later in the season, I am even more excited that it happened now. And it makes sense because it lowkey does not need to be a huge plot point. The more important plot point is them showing us why mark is special and why hes the main character of the show (at least up to this point). I think they are going to make him be one of the people that integrate successfully. Lumon's arrogance with the whole "reintegration is not real" will become their downfall.

So, i think that: 1. Cobel is most likely severed. Because she originally wanted to do the same as Mark regarding her grief. But she regrets it and now only holds fragments of her "outie" self. As far as she knows. Helena says it would be a good idea to "reset." The same as i think they do with Gemma or any other innie that encounters issues with severence. 2. Maybe Helena's security/driver is Cobel's "late" husband in innie form?? Cobel might sense this but can't quite remember. 2. Perhaps this is why Cobel was so interested in getting Gemma to remember Mark? Or vice versa. In season one's wellness checks. 3. I want to say that Helly is Helly, but realistically, the audience does not know what they've done or said to Helly. Helena certainly doesn't want to be on the severed floor. My question is: How will Mark face the severed floor with his new reintegrated self? How does that work with the chip and the whole process of going down the elevator. Is everyone in the town of Kier severed!?!?! Including Devon and Rickin?

Yes I recently read a theory about Cobel that struck me as extremely plausible, that she was severed very early on and that when you get promoted you just become your innie full time. And that’s why she’s so weirdly deep in character as Mrs. Selvig, you know, it always felt so bizarre how far she took it, way beyond what was required to surveil Mark, because she’s sort of cosplaying her defunct outtie. The shrine, the pigtails as in her childhood photo, the weird cell-like bedroom (recreation of her room at the girls school?) Anyway I thought that made a lot of sense. And another thing that I clocked but I dont really have a specific theory about what it means: when she gets fired, as she approaches the severed boundary in the south stairwell, she looks up at the sign with a lot of trepidation (like an innie would on their last day) and seems reluctant to cross it, makes it seem like she loses *something* in leaving, certainly not her memory like the grunts do, but she was very anxious about crossing that boundary for the last time.
