@@PremiumHowTo We know seven Avatars. I am pretty sure there were Avatars way worse than Korra and Kuruk. Korra has done a lot of stupid things, but she brought back Airbenders. Spirits in the human world can be dangerous, but they can also bring a lot of new inventions. Avatars are human. They make mistakes. Roku could have dealt with his old time friend many times and prevented war... he warned him, confronted him... but his old friendship prevented him with doing anything else. The whole season 2 of LoF was a big mess and made Korra even dumber, but fans should stop to whine that Korra was the worst. There is interesting theory on KZbin that Avatar's personality "makes up" what the previous one lacked. Yangchen was the dutiful one who dedicated her whole life to her duties... she is reborn as a Kuruk who just wants to have some fun. He dies young (just 33 years old) without any accomplishments... He is reborn as Kyoshi, the badass iconic Avatar who changes history in many ways... she dies old unlike Kuruk, but most of her loved ones die prior to her. Her family members abandoned her, so she spends a lot of her time being alone... she is reborn as Roku, who has a strong connection to his loved ones. He chooses not to face his old time friend, just gives him warning, even though he deeply down knows that his friend won't give up his hopes. Roku dies with great guilt... and is reborn as Aang who does not want to be the Avatar... Aang reborns as Korra who wants to be the Avatar for the world which does not want/ need the Avatar...

i saw that in instagram, and it was probably mistaken for avatar szeto. avatar szeto is a firebender. instead of involving in action like other avatars, he contribuyed his powers to maintain peace, like when the fire nation was threatened, he settled it. he was also the first avatar to _lavabend_. he contributed his knowledge, so instead of being a hero, he became a politician.

Y'all really comparing Korra who had to deal with a very powerful bloodbender with chi-blockers as his army, a dark avatar (which no avatar had experience fighting it other than Korra. Wan only fought Vaatu himself so I don't count him), a terrorist group with very trained assassins, and dealing with a dictator who had spirit vine weapons while having PTSD to Kuruk who literally had no one to deal with because Yangchen basically did everything for him before she died.

I don't necessarily believe all the avatars past lives are destroyed because the fact that kuruk was just roaming and chillin while aang was living his life just shows there is a measure of separation between them meaning that all of the past avatars could still be in the spirit world but entirely unconnected from reborn Ravi and korra (we all know that unless you have a connection to something in the spirit world, searched for decades, or are the spirit bridge yourself it's pretty much impossible to find anything in there thus I think it's at least possible the past avatars spirits could still exist, and korra being newly founded start the avatar cycle would have no wisdom really to know where to look for her past selves when going to the spirit world) Side note: why does all the water tribes avatars gotta be so screwed up by other and themselves! Can't we have one well rounded water tribe avatar!

You forgot to mention that he went to the spirit wolrld also to kill dark spirits cuz the avatar before him (the air avatar) was only doing her task as the avatar for the humans and not the spirits.The spirits hated the avatar but because the avatar was so beloved in the mortal world avatar kuruk didn’t tell anyone about it and was trying to help the spirit world after the avatar before him didn’t.That’s probably why he was the only one (when korra asked for help)that knew ravaa cuz he for sure was asking her for help cuz she was a spirit.And it’s not a theory it was mentioned in that Avatar kyoshi’s book

@MovieFlame This video is missing some key points in Kuruk’s life. He was fighting dark spirits, one of them Father Glowworm. Each time Kuruk killed one of the spirits, it would dehumanize him and also slowly drain the life out of him. Stubbornly he still went on the hunt of more dark spirits, keeping the effects this had on his body a secret to himself, only one of his friends knew. While he was irresponsible towards the human problems the avatar had to deal with, he dedicated his life to the spiritual ones. As a means of coping, he turned to booze and hedonism to help himself feel human again. What killed him early was destroying the dark spirits. I would have hoped you researched this completely before making this video.

@@Tordecai616 the spirit world is not the afterlife iroh meditated into the spirit world before he died, as he says to Korra, he's different. As for Avatars, that's avatar stuff and doesn't count, they're less like spirits and more like a saved file or memory in a video game that was deleted. Everyone is reincarnated into the next life, just with the avatar it can be proven. Raava tells Wan "we will be together for all your lifetimes", meaning he was already going to have multiple lifetimes just as everyone else does. A possible season 4 storyline had a possible new airbender born and Aang thought it might be Gyatso reincarnated.

Some more info on Kuruk: He actually saved the world multiple times and didn’t attend to the human world as he was occupied with the spirit world as Yangchen largely neglected it. He had to fight off dark spirits which sucked the life out of him which is why he died so young.He still continued to fight the dark spirits after he knew this and decided to tell nobody. He was the opposite of a selfish avatar, he was selfless but he still chose to keep the information about the spirits to himself.

The avatar aswell tries to fix his past life mistakes or if one avatar did such a good job in his formal life he will normally get a sort of vacation in his new life. Hence Yancheen did such a good job that Kurkruk was almost free of all tasks.

can I just say how RECKLESS is the decision to destroy all the past lives of the Avatar? it's stupid and reckless, showing no respect or care for the series. with one scene, every avatar spirit was destroyed, forever. this might be the sole reason why we would never see more of the series, at least not how it was with The Last Airbender.

I do see people not understanding what happened, the same happens with people not understanding the ending of part 6 in Jojo's. The spirits of the avatars still exist in the spiritual world, they were not destroyed, but the link that tied their souls to the current avatar was. The new avatar rebuilding that link could be a good idea.

Every avatar had taken care of the previous avatar's mistake, Aang taking care of the 100 years war Roku could have ended, Korra taken care of the genocide of Aang's people by allowing new benders to exist. There is a video that relationates every avatar biggest regret into the goals or foundations of the next avatar. It's quite interesting, there is most likely that within her lifespan Korra can never restore the link that was broken, nonless, is something the next avatar can accomplish.
