Holy crap, the accent that comes through when Butler isn't playing a role... It's gotta take serious talent to change that.

It’s a decently strong accent but it’s very apparent it’s still him lol. He has a very unique “American” accent. I like it, but it’s very forced.

''Twas a great movie but Jamie Fox kinda killed it with his Zoolander stares and the end wasn't worthy of that movie as a whole. Jamie Fox even takes a promotion in it and completely proves Gerard Butlers whole point about the justice system! Every time the Mayor speaks she also drives home Gerard's point! It's hard to root for anyone other than Clyde!!!

an ideal ending would have been an entire change in the US justice system .. where if you have enough money you can get away with murder.

I thought Clyde was going to stream the mayors meeting live online when she’s telling all the law & order representatives to find a loophole in the law etc etc. to make sure he stays in jail. Idk it’s an amazing film tho & if he’s tried case properly it wouldn’t have existed lol

@dariusnefle90667 жыл бұрын
the movie was kinda lacking for anything than an example of control, if someone murders your entire family then you should roll over and take it, geesh how smart the guy was ment to be he could have killed everyone responsible and got away scot free heck he could have made it look like the lawyers kid did it with enough dna evidence even the lawyer (jamie foxx) would believe his kid done it, yet nooo they had to go for the bullshit he got his revenge and the lawyer outsmarted a military tactical genius -.- yeah sorry no thats bull, before anyone says i'm being racist no the main character is smarter than the lawyer irregardless of either skin color.
@flashfive125 жыл бұрын
His point wasn't to get revenge but that was a sweet bonus it was to show the flaw in the system and that it only rewards guys that go outside the system. Which is why the only way Butler lost was because Foxx went outside of the law to provide justice. My only issue is the way he was caught was way too easy.
@flashfive125 жыл бұрын
Also I don't think anyone thought you were racist...
@intellectracoon4 жыл бұрын
yeah he plants a kevlar string in some guys tie but puts a bomb in a bag he could have just covered it with wood or disguised it as a plant. he was smarter you are not racist but this appears to be always the case with jamie fox he killed a professional assassin in collateral. that ending was bullshit as well.

I think why I like this movie so much is first off the cast. The way it ended left no possibility for a sequel. And like the film peppermint it isn’t about revenge. But justice instead. Everything Clyde did exposed how corrupt the legal system was. From the judge, to the lawyer. Everyone. Killing all those people was senseless and I’ve seen these type of movies before. But if you’re looking to sit back for some good entertainment it does that. I have watched law abiding citizen more times than I can count. It’s a favorite of mine that never gets old!!!!!

Gerard butlers honestly a pretty great actor for an action star. I know he had like alcohol issues or something. But. If he's clean he deserves more work and shit London has fallen turned a pretty good profit just in box office (and will continue to make money for the studio) considering its an original property and revenue for all movies is down. I guess he did just get geo storm though. But dude should have done something dramatic or pushing his limits leaving that comfort zone. Cause what am I talking about he just starred in a high budget movie. That propaganda the channel I Looper puts out fooled my feeble little mind! Geo storm flopped though... But point is dude deserves more rolls and should do some different sorts of rolls at that
