The movie obviously is about moving on, not trying to cling to a life that has run its course. If anyone is interested in stories like this there’s a manga called “Heads” where a normal guy gets mixed up in a bank robbery and takes a billet through the head. He wakes up in a special hospital where they tell him he miraculously survived. Turns out the bank robber shot himself in the head and they used parts of his brain to fix the protagonist. Slowly the mentally ill bank robber starts to emerge within the protagonist. Its a super good read really fucking dark too.

I'd fix the ending, with the transiction into Mark beeing analog rather than digital. A digital change is a switch, an analog change is sunset. This means that Mark remembers everything they did together, and maybe Damien even has time to write down a few notions about business: what books to read, what rules to follow, etc.
