@@toop1337 It's not "too much". The man locked himself inside his church when the apocalypse started, keeping all of the townsfolk out of it who sought shelter and protection, getting them killed by the undead hordes of walkers. He betrayed Rick. He got someone killed in the past. He refused to adapt because he was afraid of everything around him, for a long time. If that isn't cowardice, then idk what it. Sure, it's the end of the world and it fucks the brain up and some don't have that bravery, but all of it were still the work of a coward. Until he finally toughened up by the horrors he witnessed.

It’s obvious it’s a designed universe. The universal constants like the weak and strong forces are so fined-tuned by several decimal places that it can’t be coincidence. Serious astrophysicists know this and thus many postulate infinite universes with varying constant values that don’t have life but ours just happens to be a perfect Goldilocks universe. It explains nothing as to how the universe got started and tuned. How would the quarks suddenly gather in threes: two “ups” and a “down” to form protons and two “downs” and an “up” to form neutrons? How was it ever possible that the charges of these quarks turned out to be exactly ⅔ for an “up” and -⅓ for a “down,” so that the proton would miraculously match the opposite charge of the electron (-1) and the neutron’s charge would be precisely zero? How did such an incredibly improbable event ever happen without some calculated act of creation? And further, how did the masses of the elementary particles turn out to have the perfectly precise ratios needed so that the world of atoms and molecules could exist at all? How did the forces of nature-gravity, electromagnetism, and the weak and strong nuclear forces acting inside nuclei, as well as the mysterious “dark energy” that permeates space-receive just the right strengths they need to maintain a universe that has the required stability and neither collapses onto itself nor explodes before life has a chance to begin? It is hard to imagine all this happening just by chance. In science, the fine-tuning of the parameters required for life has such an incredibly small probability to have arisen that the famous British cosmologist Stephen Hawking has described it as follows: “If one considers the possible constants and laws that could have emerged, the odds against a universe that has produced life like ours are immense.” Another leading cosmologist, Roger Penrose, addressing only one of the many parameters necessary for a universe that would support life, has put the probability against the emergence of our universe as 1 over 10^10^123, meaning 1 divided by 10 raised to the power of 10, raised to the power of 123. Such numbers are humbling. Now consider the odds of intelligent life developing. To decisively assert that there was no God or act of creation behind our immeasurably unlikely universe seems presumptuous. Roger Penrose has spent a lifetime trying to understand the workings of the universe and he has come to a stunning conclusion: if the entropy (a measure of disorder commonly used in physics) of space had been off from what it currently is by even a tiny fraction, the universe would not exist. Thus the universe has to have been “fine tuned” to a degree that we can hardly comprehend. In other words the Big Bang isn’t even possible without extreme fine-tuning, meaning it probably never happened in the first place. Even Alan Guth points out the fine-tuning required for his inflation model. Penrose writes, in The Road to Reality: Can the anthropic principle be invoked to explain the very special nature of the Big Bang? Can this principle be incorporated as part of the inflationary picture, so that an initially chaotic (maximum entropy) state can nevertheless lead to a universe like the one we live in, in which the Second Law of Thermodynamics holds sway? In other words can order arise from chaos? Why is the mass of the proton 1,836.153 times that of the electron? Why are the electric charges of the up and down quarks exactly 2/3 and -1/3, respectively, on a scale in which the electron’s charge is -1? Why is Newton’s gravitational constant, G, equal to 6.67384 x 10-11? And there is also the question that has deeply puzzled so many physicists since 1916: Why is the fine structure constant, which measures the strength of electromagnetic interactions, so tantalizingly close to 1/137-the inverse of a prime number? (We now know it to far greater accuracy: about 1/137.035999.) Richard Feynman once wrote: “It’s one of the greatest damn mysteries of physics: a magic number that comes to us with no understanding by man. You might say the ‘hand of God’ wrote that number, and ‘we don’t know how he pushed his pencil.’ ” The astronomer Arthur Eddington (who proved Einstein’s hypothesis that space-time curves around massive objects) built entire numerological theories around this number-all of them false. (He assumed that the constant was 1/136). Austrian physicist and quantum pioneer Wolfgang Pauli throughout his life was obsessed with the number 137. Abrahamic religion followers treat God like a business deal but they don’t consider karma and past lives, which there is evidence for (see Ian Stevenson, former Chair of Psychiatry U Penn). Their idea is that God is an arbitrary tyrant so intelligent people question their theology. All the famous thinkers from Pythagoras, Michelangelo, Newton, to Tesla, Heisenberg, von Braun, and oppenheimer were all theists. Most Nobel winners too. Abrahamic religions may be wrong on some points but the idea of the universe being designed it the best explanation for the world and reality. The nature of science is theistic. Newton and others wouldn’t have tried to study the universe if they hadn’t thought it was designed by intelligence and followed rational laws. If they thought the world random and chaotic the way primitive peoples often did then they wouldn’t be motivated to study its cause and effects. Just as an imprint of a seal suggests a seal, the fine-tuned universal constants suggests conscious design or God. Religion creates civilization whereas nihilistic atheism comes at its downfall. Atheists are intelligent because they question everything so credit goes where it is due, but as physicist Wolfgang Pauli predicted, “We may well reach the point in the not too distant future where the parable and images of the old religions will have lost their persuasive force even for the average person: when that happens. I am afraid that all the old ethics will collapse like a house of cards and that unimaginable horrors will be perpetrated." This happened in the 20th century in many parts of the world. Atheism is nihilistic ultimately. It’s a hopeless frustrated outlook where we are just biological machines floating through space until all energy sources are burned out eventually and all that’s left is a few cold rocks-fading embers hurtling eternally through space. It ignores subjective consciousness, which all beings have but can’t be quantified in material terms. Had Darwin the bad the knowledge we do today I doubt he’d accept his own theory. Karl Popper pointed out it’s not a bonafide theory. It’s a working hypothesis at best. The irreducible complexity of life: books.google.com/books?id=pdznAAAAIAAJ&lpg=PP1&dq=Organization%20Constraints%20on%20the%20Dynamics%20of%20Evolution&pg=PA33#v=onepage&q&f=false Here’s a part of the video version of the above: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3_TgXmXmcqAbJI Even children are “born believers” and remember past lives. They may even have told you: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/3512686/Children-are-born-believers-in-God-academic-claims.html The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you. Werner Heisenberg My experiences with science led me to God. They challenge science to prove the existence of God. But must we really light a candle to see the sun? Forgetting to close the gate of Alexandria and letting the walkers in at the end of S5. Forgetting to close Negan's cell and letting him escape. Him finally letting in the people of the Commonwealth wasn't the conclusion of his character arc it was him figuring out how god damn doors work lmao Love him for it.

Well you see even a warrior of heaven, is supposed to understand mercy more than anything. That’s exactly what makes them a formidable warrior of HEAVEN. “I would rather be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.” He’s loosing sight that he was once a gardener, this will definitely affect his time of “peace” might bring conflict in his relationship with God. I’m not saying he should’ve spared him, I’m saying he should’ve prayed for him without hate. But as a son of Christ. Remember to water the plant.

Fun fact: the actor _was_ actually Rick grimes' double in the better half of the 3rd season. With some help of a makeup session and a little CGI, you could barely tell the difference - only if you really took a close look or otherwise knew about it. The reason he needed a double, was because his wife became really sick and he needed to care for her for about 5 months, before she was stabilized enough for him to return. It was obviously a major blow for the series, since it needed the actual lead. Still a good season thou. It's a shame that they fell back on this talented actor, only for him to be a villain that died so swiftly Don't believe me? That's fair, cause i just made it all up

I mean it's pretty natural character development he started isolated and faithful then he see what has happened to the world faced with the gruesome truth he tried to hang onto his faith even comparing the undead to Jesus's rebirth. He got a church and little chance to rethink his beliefs in Alexandria but the People he prays with his new flock starts dying eventually he sees it Rick's way the strong fight horde's of the undead while the weak pray and died and he chose to go out and fight what he saw as people. And after all that then the Saviours and the Whispers came he finally saw that people aren't interested in being redeemed and god doesn't exist because he wouldn't allow this level of depravity he lost all faith.
