The demon responsible for the haunting takes possession of Jack, leading to a confrontation between the investigators. Jonathan ultimately loses Jack to defeat the demon temporarily. However, the screenplay concludes on a grim note, suggesting that the cycle of death and haunting will persist, orchestrated by the malevolent force behind it all.
