Imo, I feel like what made moviestarplanet special has died. A lot of OG high scorers got popular off of their series and movies. Now the top movies are SMs a lot of people bot to the top. I’ve had so many movie maker friends quit because it’s kinda hard to get people to watch non-sm movies at times. Artbooks too used to be a lot of creative ones like cosplay, dot art, etc. but now there’s a lot of giveaways. S4S I think has been good in some ways making game active but has made supporting each other more of a transaction, than a genuine connection because you like each other’s work. In short, I think it’s dying because lack of support for creativity. 🤷

What makes it even worse is that MSP has always relied on its community to keep it alive. The game doesn’t really have anything else to keep people coming back. As the player base has shrunk, it’s become harder for anyone to level up, earn fame, or find life in chat rooms. And the developers haven’t done much to fix this or to give new players a reason to stick around. It’s frustrating and sad because the potential is there-they’re just not doing anything with it. Still, no matter how much things have changed, MSP will always mean something to me. I grew up on this game, and it’s given me memories I’ll carry forever. I just wish it could find its way back to what made it special in the first place. (hismuneco ; Sweetie Top or Crown)

No and I hope not. I went on MSP recently with my fiance for nostalgia and the game is filled with groomers, every chatroom ppl are talking smxual and a little girl str8 up messaged me about this guy that wouldn't leave her alone that was saying gross stuff. Ever since there hasn't been active moderators on MSP it has become a breeding ground for pvfiles either they need to hire moderators or shut this game down before the FBI shuts it down ffs.

Yes! even msp2 is filled with them! my friend created an account yesterday and within 5 minutes there were 2 pedos in there texting her! thats just crazy. They keep on increasing month by month.

Moviestarplanet can't revive itself, It can comeback, but it'll just die again. The proof is when the game revived earlier this year from nostalgia but with how laggy it was the game died again.

msp has blown up/had so many comebacks but because there are 0 developers with a brain at msp hq it just dies a few months later every time :(

msp relies too heavily on social networking that as the community dies the whole games center focus does as well. msp unfortunately, as much as i wish it would, has no incentive to stay other than its community, which is exactly why its lacking new players. players can’t earn fame to level and go to chat rooms when there is no player base backing it. MSP is flawed in its ability to innovate which is extremely sad. wishing nothing but the best for this community and it will always have a special place in my heart 🥲 amazing job btw on the video

u should also keep in mind that MSP started back in 2009, i think many bugs have been here for around 2015 nd are not fixable without changing the whole game thats why they added MSP2 i think

saw ur giveaway which is why im here but omg i feel this so hard. i just transitioned to the us server after being in the aus server for years because the aus server is completely DEAD and there is no point to being there anymore with the complete lack of community. i just miss the days of actually using the chatrooms and playing the games and when artbooks were more than just requesting rares to complete sets obviously the deteriorating game sucks but be thankful ur not limited to a single dead server because ive been too late to transition and am entering in a server that is also slowly dying real talk tho, serafine6 on the usa server needs that grey edward cullen tshirt

The whole layout of msp is just boring and old. The only way to fixing it would be to do an open world map like in gta 5 online and yes msp tried to do something like it with msp 2 but it just turned out really bad. “First person” view would be cool, more realistic. But they dont have funds for that anymore. Theyre basically wasted potential because they didnt invest in upgrading the game at its peak. Its honestly so sad to see. Theyre almost no chance of them coming back out of this better 😕
