If I buy a replacement lcd display does it come with the glass too? Or do I have to buy and put on individualy?

Hello. My Xiaomi Note 9S screen is broken and needs to be replaced. I was told by a repairman that some versions of the model Xiaomi Note 9S came with one model of screen (lets say screen model XK) and some Note 9S came with another (lets say screen model XY), and that phones that came with screen XK cannot have screen XY installed and vice-versa. That the phone is not compatible with a different screen. Do you know anything like that?
