By learning the Individual Form of 5 Sword Sections (五段太極對練劍) we prepare ourselves for more advanced elements of Tai Chi practice while deepening concepts previously worked on in our empty hand form.
The 5-Section Sword form follows a similar structure to the 5-Section Empty Hand Solo form making its learning much simpler in a way that allows the practitioner to focus on all the new concepts. Likewise, this form makes up one of the sides of the 5-Section sword pairs form, so its study opens the doors to a whole new study within Tai Chi.
