3:00 Not a good sound to hear while positioning a valuable tank. Josh is right about Fresh being easier in that spot for practical reasons. Did the concrete foundation issue ever get solved at that Dwight Howard corner of your pool? Always label the tubs/boxes you store up high where people can't see what the contents are. Congratulations, Jim but don't forget that prenup if things progress.

Something very positive has happened to you Rich recently. You appear so much happier, enjoying your home, grand daughter & this is evident in how positive your videos have become. The fish are the main reason I wait for every video.im really excited to see the start of the extension to the fish room when it happens. I remember the massive tank that came from the real estate agents office or car showroom ? ( the one with the rays in now)& of course when you bought the bellagios & put them in. Changes make great content. I will never criticise- you have the tanks I can only dream of & I love my fish 🐠 ❤

oh you have any dying leaves in the elephant ears give them to the tortoise they love them and it's OK for them to eat if you get any hibiscus leaves or flowers you can feed those to the tortoise malware leaves and mulberry flowers are also good source of food for tortoises hey is always good for them so our wet greens you know leafy greens feed them broccoli cauliflower so if anybody's got products out there that's going bad in the supermarket you can ask hey can I have any of your bad produce and come by like once a week or something like that and pick it up a lot of places will give it to you really good price so instead of having to go to the pet store and buying it there and paying for a lot of it full price You can go to the grocery store and ask them if they have any old products you know like a couple of days old it's just starting to wilt they they basically want to get rid of it so if they can sell it all the more power to them and you. you guys need to contact Kennon of Camp Kennon through Eddie Greg and invite him to your place yes he's more of a repairman but he does have fish he has some Oscars he has some cichlids all different kinds of cichlids blew a carras convict cichlids so on and so forth you need to teach him about keyhole cichlids And how beautiful they are and how peaceful they are An angel fish And he's got blue card breeding in his recreation pond I would think the angelfish and the keyhole cyclist would do just as well. I was also wondering and thinking a little bit about what you want to do with the pond outside I know you wanted to put that Infinity edge on it what if half of it is in Infinity edge and the other half is glass so you can actually stand behind that area and look into the pond to see all the coy and all the paddle fish and maybe even the sturgeon someday That would be awesome to see you'd probably want about a good two inch thick piece of glass Or more he wanted laminated he wanted these 44 laminations for five glasses glued together now the New England Aquarium has pains like that they're about I don't know 5 by 5 if you wanted a bigger one you might want to contact them who did their creation and talk to the manufacturer about getting something done like that if you're interested because the giant ocean tank in the northern aquarium is a beautiful place it's a circular basically I think it's a 20,000 gallon tank and it's a good I'd say 40 to 50 feet high maybe 60 feet and that's not including all the internal workings in the sand filters and everything else but that would be the kind of reinforcement you'd want for those pains and of course they could do like 4 or five of the glass panes 5 foot by 5 foot and then do the Infinity edge on the other end of that for like another 20 feet I think that would be beautiful to see like that that way you can see inside the pool as well as still have your Infinity edge which is your skimmer and have your wetland return I don't know talk to Ed I don't know how you would have to finagle that you'd have to almost drain the pool and move all the fish out but they have them build that on in there but it's an idea Don't dismiss it because it's difficult It would be good at figuring out the water pressure depth diameter stuff all that all that information To make sure that the glass is safe and will not break fracture in the cold so and so forth I know of twice in 60 years that those pains have broken at the movement just one and it did not leak you know they're like 5 pains of glass 4 eliminations between the panes and it was the outside glass that fractured not the inside so there was nothing even the leak and it took about three months to get it repaired and replaced and back up and running again the second time I was actually working there as a volunteer to happen over Christmas weekend when there was nobody there but one day of the year that they closed and that's when the accident had happened Because it came in Monday after Christmas and it was like cracked and like Oh no at least it didn't break internally and all the fish die Et cetera et cetera so it did what it was supposed to do and that was hold up to the pressure and it was on the bottom level too where with almost pressure is I think that was nineteen 80 or 798081 maybe 82 but I think it was before my mom passed away so it's either Christmas to 81 or Christmas 82 it was after she passed away And I was working there as a volunteer from 1979 through 1984

Everybody has an opinion, so i hope you don't mind... You can't seem to either get rid of or make use of the Dwight Howard tank. I can see it is not made to be filled with water. If i had that tank, along with youth, strength, money (who am i kidding?), i would consider cutting out the internal glass panel aquariam and decorations. I can envision that tank as a vivarium (if that's the right word). I think it would be interesting if it had only 6 to 8 inches of water on one end, ramping up to a gravel or sand bed with potting soil above it. I think it would be cool to plant dwarf cattails, say, in the middle and floating or planted swamp plants twards the deep end. Maybe native, but short plants up the hill on the high end. As for fish, maybe Japanese rice fish? If the top can be sealed with netting, it would be cool to see if insects like damsel flies would survive. We all have dreams!

I have some questions and you guys can choose to either link me to other channels or answer them to the best of your abilities: "when it comes to growing out Aquariums plants,and allowing them to filter themselves from one tank to another tank, what supplements and nitrates do I need to help Supply a steady growth rate to give them that healthy green look? And when the plants are finally established, how much do I need to "cut back" on said plants without killing them in the process ?
@ohio-fish-rescue3 ай бұрын
We dont use any supplements or ferts, natural growth with us, when it starts getting to big we just cut it back and plant into another tank

Hey Rich, head to Tractor Supply and pick up some RM43 Total Vegetation Control. It's a concentrate so you just mix with water in a sprayer and it will destroy all of the grass growing through the gravel within a week or so. You'll have to probably spray it at least three times a year to keep it from coming back.

don't use the gasoline you might sit the house on fire trust me. what you really want to do is you go on to get like a rototiller type thing till the whole thing up then place down all that textile cloth that you put underneath your rubber linder for the pond in the back you want two layers of that down and that'll stop the weeds from coming through then you put the gravel on top of that and don't put any dirt it's going to take time and effort a little bit of money to do but it's worth doing you're not going to sit your house on fire or your neighbor's property on fire by accident and then all you need to once you get the textile clock down two layers of it then you want to put your gravel down that's all You should put the textile clock down first before you put the new ground on the last time cause the leads are going to come through gravel there's this dirt underneath it if there's no dirt for weeds and seeds to get established then you're good to go and all you need then is just a little bit of gravel and then that can be vacuumed up afterwards in a couple of years and we put down because dirt will form on top of that dude's always forming there's always dust and stuff falling out of the air and landing on the ground Bits of pieces of organic matter and vaporized meteors in the upper atmosphere all that stuff settles down to the ground.
