Great job demonstrating the peg graft technique! How long ago did the support whips get grafted onto the branches? 1 or 2 years? Great improvement on the structure; I particularly liked the placement of the first branch move. 👏🏽 🪴 🍁

I'll never forget the first time i read the article on Mr. Ebihara lowering the apex on a Momiji. I wish Benichidori was more accessible in the U.S.A. That leaf color is absolutely gorgeous. How long will the peg grafts take to adhere?

I’m convinced if you’re skilled enough, you can do absolutely anything you please to a maple. At this point, i’d be unsurprised seeing a maple branch grafted to a donkeys hind leg.
