No one has ever moved into a cleaner house than the one you are moving out of. It was immaculate when you lived there and then you cleaned before you left. I have never moved in anywhere where the oven had been cleaned. Always have had to clean the one I was leaving and then the one in the new place. Best wishes in your new home.

I have always cleaned my flats and houses before I leave. I also leave a book with useful local info and manuals for appliances. Unfortunately, some people don't do this. I still remember the shock of opening some kitchen cupboards full of expired food and mouse droppings 😮

Selling, buying, moving...its so hard. But you have shown how much easier it is to move living a more minimalist life style. When I sold our last home, my agent said he built 4 extra days into the contract (supposedly) in the end we did not have those 4 extra days to move. It was a nightmare, but we got thru it. Almost 3 years later, I still think about it sometimes. The people who bought your house are very, very lucky.
