The end of an era. Always very sad. Times have to move on, and I have no doubt I will have to go through this when my mother has to downsize too. Very moving video and we all felt your emotion Roger. All those vacuum cleaner dreams started there, and now, the very final vacuum cleaner leaves the house - Freedom. I remember that same tune playing when you did the Vax Air Cordless video from that very house, but full of furniture, with the fond memories it held for you. Good luck to you and your mother Roger - you are the greatest vacuum cleaner guru that ever lived, and no-one will surpass you.

It's always a surreal feeling when walking through a home the final time, but even harder if there's an attachment to the home. You've captured great footage and this will certainly help keep those great memories alive. This final video really helped lay out the floorplan nicely as well, it's a lovely place and I'm certain the new occupants will love it. I'm excited to see what your mother's new home is like and it'll be fun putting everything together there I'm sure!

thank you for sharing this Roger. Just remember, its never an end, just a new beginning, for both your mum and yourself. Mother used to say time heals all wounds, as well as it gets easier as you get older, she lied on both accounts. But, life does go on. Be strong, if no one else for your mum, she may cry for no reason, or be a recluse. Get her out and make friends!

Thank you Roger, for sharing these last few emotional moments at your Mother's house and for the other videos of the move. I'm sure all of us watching understand your emotions. As you showed around the house for the final time, I found myself thinking the other videos where you talked about your Dad, the dogs buried in the garden and your mention of the poor little dog that drowned in the pond. On a happier note there are videos you recorded at the house when you were younger and now shared on this channel and of course the vacuum videos on ibasisaic.

We wish the people who sold us this house in 1978 had vacuumed, there were hairs from their long haired dog everywhere. A friend lent us their hoover junior to vac around before the furniture arrived as our Electrolux 170 was packed away with the furniture.
