idk if someone else commented this but anemia is basically low iron aka less red blood cells so Emily should eat more broccoli, red meat and potatoes with its skin it could help or even take iron pills.

I got a call like that from the doctors and so did my other 2 siblings. My older sister is anemic and me and my little sister just had high blood sugar. Honestly the pills were so easy to digest but my little sister could never swallow a pill. The pill in her defense was huge but thankfully we just avoided having snacks every second of the day and now we can eat whatever since we know when to stop :)

Emily will need to take Iron tablets, sometimes if you are really low they need to give you an injection to begin with. I’m anemic and have to take them. You get iron from red meat, eggs, leafy green veggies, chickpeas, oats, fish or shellfish, nuts, whole meal pasta, iron fortified cereal. Emily will feel so much better when she begins on her iron supplements
