Really feel you on the toilet brush issue! I was really struggling with what kind of brush I wanted and I ended up getting a silicone one. It doesn't hold water like a "hairy' one does and you can actually clean it. It felt weird at first but I'm really loving it so far.

JULES I HAVE AN IDEA! if you use and kind of dish sponge, whenever the sponges reach the end of their life - reuse them as the coconut husk things! then you don’t have to buy more things you can use a thing you already have. don’t know what you use as dish sponges tho! also some places sell natural loofahs that you can cut to size!

Guilty of obsessing over toilet brush too 😅 I also considered flushable ones (brand is scrubbing bubbles) but couldn’t order it where I live. So I went ahead with silicone brush from a local store that comes with stainless steel handle so it looks pretty good too. Silicone is easier to clean and they say it’s more sanitary. Anyway lovely lovely home! 💛

Okay love this toilet wand! I have the clorox toilet wand for this exact reason, I hate gross toilet brushes. What I do is after I toss the refill part, I take a disinfectant wipe and run it from the handle down to the bottom! Definitely going to check out this more sustainable version!

Love the moving diaries and the kitchen omg obsessed! For your TMJ issue, I had a friend who did botox to help that issue and she said it really changed her life and has helped miraculously. Just thought I'd share because health complications for anything, no matter how big or small can cause anxiety and stress. Hope everything goes well! Again, love the vlogs :D

I have always hated toilet brushes. I wear rubber gloves and clean the toilet by hand using a silicone sponge. Easier to wash the sponge and gloves afterward in the sink.

The scratchinesss of the wicker chair will wear away. I had the original ones in the 80's and they become so smooth and perfect. I am so envious of yours, I wouldn't cover them up with custom cushions!

Can you share your TMJD journey? I also grind my teeth really badly in my sleep my whole life and it’s definitely affecting my health. Never knew sleep studies could help in determining why!
@Hannah.Beazley2 жыл бұрын
Hope you get to the bottom of your TMJD soon! Have you tried mouth taping by any chance? There's a really good book called Breath by James Nestor that dives into it in more detail, but essentially we've basically all become mouth breathers, especially while we sleep, and it has huge effects on our jaw alignment, why so many people need to have teeth pulled, our quality of sleep, ability to fight infection etc.

Have you considered the mouth guard at night? IT’s like $15 for four sets on Amazon, and though it doesn’t solve the actual problem, it’ll help you with the pain until you learn to you learn to stop. I got over my TMJ, and it was a lifesaver for me. I was getting so many migraines from mine, and overthinking it made me clench even harder. Also, I ended up getting Bose sleep buds to help me with my light sleeping. It’s a bit pricey at $200-250, but it keeps me asleep.

Hi Jules! Love your videos and total vibe of everything. I have had TMJD for a very long time and had to have surgery to resolved my pain but I would recommend myofascial release massage therapy or craniofacial massage therapy as an alternative to botox or other methods like surgery. I'm in no way a doctor but have noticed a huge relief in trying more holistic approaches for my pain over medication, steroid injections and, well, surgery. Wish you all the best!

When ur done cleaning the bowl and the entire toilet….spray the wand with disinfectant spray, and then put the wand between the seats to dry, 5-10 min read the bottle. Then spray once more and use a paper towel (fabric towels if you’re more eco) to dry it off before putting it away.
@keric36732 жыл бұрын
Just a note of encouragement from a chronic illness person (take it or leave it, I won’t be offended) but it’s ok to want to lessen the pain while you look for a more permanent solution. You can get an injection or two of botox now while you’re waiting on your sleep study results and exploring your options. The beauty of a treatment like that is that you aren’t roped in to “you started it so you have to keep with it forever”. Good luck! (Also, I’m crazy jealous you got to do your sleep study at home- I always have them in a sleep lab)

I've got a fully silicone brush that sits in Mr.clean or bleach inside its container. Then I flush that and refresh it every time I feel like I need to... Maybe not a great solution if you've got pets around though?
