It is 2021. People do speak foreign languages here. It is was probably a bad luck. It is the best thing for me anyway as a native to see you live in here. Makes me proud. Maybe there is hope for this world. There is no black or white remember this. If there is any difference between people it is intelligence or lack of it.

My wife and I traveled to Europe in 1976. On that trip we visited Poland to see my mother's relatives. Before leaving home I studied Polish pronunciation. To this day I can read and pronounce Polish words correctly - even if I don't understand them. A high point on my trip was when I purchased two bus tickets to Wloclawek. "Dwa bileta do Wloclawek prosze".

Gosh!!!! I can imagine how you felt that day. The bags you carried with Egusi and Garri spared you time to settle down and know you way around.. Another thing I'd advise people is to learn the basic language of the country they're relocating too
This was a very funny and interesting vlog. The one I could relate to well was the pronunciation of Wroclaw... like I was applying for something and kept pronuncing it the wrong way...I actually learnt the right pronunciation from your channel

You are very brave. I'm Polish, was born in Poland and lived there for the first 20 years of my life. I emigrated to the USA over 30 years ago so I kind of know what you went through. It was easier for me because I spoke some English and had people waiting for me that helped me get started. It was still very difficult. I have a lot of respect for you. I hope things are easier now.

Literally I had a similar experience in Portugal for my study abroad program, good thing people speak English there and there are a lot of blacks, I didn't feel odd there, but the luggage part really got me, I also cried of frustration I totally understand your struggles. This video was both funny and scary at the same time. Even though I am a native Pole, I also feel lost at train stations, I get lost and I don't know where to go. So I kind of understand you.. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to end up in a foreign country, not knowing where to go. Then I think to myself that I would probably sit down and cry.

Why are you surprised? Has Poland ever been colonised by the UK? Certainly not. Nigerians have to speak English, as how would it be possible to communicate efficiently in a country of 210 million people who speak 450+ languages? Polish people speak just one native language. At least 98-99% of us.

You really don't have to. She was quite unlucky. Most (although most definitely not ALL) people in Poland know at least basic English. It's better to ask young people as older were forced to learn Russian instead of English (ahh... those communist times...).

You're a great storyteller! I could feel every emotion! Moving to a totally different country and not knowing the language is very brave and teaches you a lot about yourself! Crying is fine! :) I only had one experience similar to this when I went to Thailand. I am native Polish and knew nothing about the language :D I knew I could handle it if I had internet access, so I bought a (much overpriced) simcard right at the airport. That saved me a lot, although I also got lost a few times :D :D I'm glad you managed to handle the tough situation and arrived safely. :)
