On the topic of shooting, can you test if Using the stick and letting go give the same green window boost as flicking the stick back up to get the tempo (rythm shooting) So rhythm shooting vs right stick they said using the stick give a boost and a bigger window but does that also count for holding the stick down and letting go? this would be major because im green with a low three when stopped using rhythm and it feels like a similar boost

i know it’s because they’re trying to lower to top 20% barley to combat cheaters. if they cared about cheaters there would be no shot meters in casual modes, they in events too, this completely exposes them. they’re aiming to help the bottom while reducing the top. lowering the slider an having morals would make the majority not be able to hit as much an they would cry an whine way more in they eyes. miss a couple easier to make, make a couple almost impossible to hit. they think this result pleases the majority when it just makes everyone mad once they realize their experience is controlled

I have an 87 three and am shooting ~65% from three and am shooting 50% with 75 mid, there was no excuse in my statement at all 💀 purely from an executive standpoint: it makes total sense to revert these changes as it would improve gameplay and encourage more players to return to the already dwindling community improving overall sales and would fund for more changes mediated through community dev testing. Zens have always been a problem but there’s less immediate desire to get a zen if jumpers are already more consistent than now

Yeah that's been my experience. There is no "moving green window"...2K just throws in a delayed gather every few shots (just like how pull ups have a slower gather than catch and shoot), obviously to combat modded controllers. So unlike previous 2K's, you can't just rely on muscle memory of the shot button press anymore. You need to actually learn your shooting animation and release timing, and pay attention to it every shot...which makes it more skill based if anything

So the entire system breaks down, and people start looking for different ways to explain why shooting is inconsistent...since our latency fluctuates constantly (and conveniently we aren't even allowed to see our ping to the server)

Not only was it slower, but they cut the seemless flow from one animation to another, so there was a lot you couldn't do in 2k24 that you can do in literally EVERY other 2k, like doing a hop-back jumper but faking the shot and speed-boosting out of it-- this is a real thing that actual basketball players do but 2k24 doesn't allow anything like that. Due to the elimination of creativity in ballhandling, everybody dribbled the same on 2k24, from the PGs to the PFs. Left/right cross; right/left tween, behind the back, shoot, or drive and kick. It's literally comedy at this point because that is all anybody on 2k24 does when they get the ball..... because that's all they can do in that game! 2k25 isn't perfect by any means but 2k has never released a legitimately ELITE basketball game (without BS). 16 was the last game everybody collectively seemed to love (I hated 17-19 personally) so yeah, 2k25 could be better but to act like 2k24 isn't the worst one released is hilarious. Go play 2k24 since you love it so much. You have another year before it's shut down. Enjoy that. I hated that game.

We are just getting bad RNG here and in need of performance improvements when it comes to consistency on 2k25. 2k18 was fundamentally set up for the no-lifers who could spend hours everyday on the game, not for the everyday person. And 2k25 would probably seem worse to me if I didn't think 2k24 is arguably the worst ever, just from gameplay. My friends can usually book me for a few games of 2k whenever I'm online but by the time we got to November of last year, they knew not to ask me to play 2k since it was 2k24. Literally hate that game more than anything so 2k25 is an improvement to me. 😂

Setup an Ethernet Cable, then: 1. Set point release cue 2. High Risk / Reward 3. No Shot Meter (Invisible) 4. Use Rhythm Shooting especially for standstill jumpshots Enjoy your shooting consistency! I recommend set point & Rhythm shooting because when you flick up to release, the timing is perfect with the flick of your wrist.

If you go to my court and shoot 50 different shots, notice almost all of them even spot up, your feet in your base are almost always different. It’s too realistic. I don’t think green windows move but they definitely shrink. Including the different base on almost every shot you gotta really be on point when you shoot.

All 2k has to do is bring back not missing wide open. Especially if you have a 92+ 3pt rating. I realize I'm in the minority but I actually like the new dribble engine for the most part. I wish we had some more explosive moves like the Jamal Murray btb from last year or LeBron James step back. But for the most part it's cool. Only problem is what's the point of shaking your opponent if you're just going to miss a WIDE OPEN shot. ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY when you have a really high 3pt rating. The badges seem like they don't even work especially the dumb legend badges. I got 1 build with a 99 3pt rating and it's the worst build I have for shooting. My 95 3pt rating build is so much better at shooting. Same jump shot w all and the legend build sucks. That needs fixed. To summarize, - Missing open shots - badges feel useless - need a speed gap and bigger courts There's no reason a 94 speed build should be getting ran down by a center w 58 speed. I have 94 Spd w/ ball and can't get away from a 7'0 footer. Do better 2K

I've had a 90%+ win rate in Park and Rec since 15... besides 2k18 when I had like 86%.. this year..70%.....70? I'm shooting 57% from 3 with an 80 three-point rating. I know I'm shooting better than most, but this is well below what I'm used to. That’s the thing there’s a random input lag and shot type lag, it’s horrible! Not just because we have to deal with that, we also have to deal with server lag. Let’s be honest connectivity has fluctuation no matter how fast your internet is. it could be 1GB per second in one moment and have 900 per second in another moment and 1.1GB per second in another. You always preach about visual cue but when you do these tests you take out the biggest variable/factor that makes players miss, and that’s connecting to a server.

I said the shot doesn’t change so if you watch your animation you would green more. The shot will speed up or slow down based on the type of shot but your release spot never changes. FINALLY proof there is no “moving green window”. I’ve been so tired of people complaining about this BS rumor that circulated on Twitter the first week the game released. People can’t take the time to learn their visual cue - is it really that hard?

This makes no sense, your saying 2k is randomly applying input lag, that's highly unlikely. Whats more likely is they are moving the green window. With your logic you can make every shot consistently by knowing your visual cues, which is not the case when most people know they jump shot and cues and will get a very late or very early out of nowhere, even though they timed their shot to the cue correctly
