New to your channel, but neat to see how your operation works. We lay our bundles flat and handle them with spears. It works out well for us and don't need to tie off the 1st bundles, but you get 1 more bundle in box trailers than we do. That's interesting to me, may need to rethink our strategy.

We can occasionally get 798 bales. It’s a little more effort but makes a difference with high transport fees. Thank you for checking out the channel

I love those grabbers, but the unsung hero, is the twine, that wholes them all together. I find skid steers are a love hate relationship. people love how capable they, are but hate the visibility and the entry/exit.

I never thought of the twine as the unsung hero. That’s a funny thought but I like it haha

We are about to buy a bale baron. We will use a tractor in the field and hoping to find a jcb for the barn. Could you do a video of your grapples and what you do and don’t like about each one and which ones work best along with the size of them?

The 333 has a rear camera right . I love how you can set the percentage of speed or responsiveness .

There are some awesome nuanced controls. I only just touched the surface of the acceleration response and stuff. It does not have a camera

That grabber is awesome I love the fact you can turn it we have one that has side to side but you still have to be able to get straight up to the bales being able to turn the grabber looks like a game chabger. Probably mentioned in a another video but I haven't found it yet what kind of grapple is that?

Being as we are one of the biggest little Hay producer, I am amazed by your presentation....But only by the amount...... We do basically the same thing but on a smaller scale....so although your video presents a good good learning experience for the uninformed..... For me i is only a change in who what and why... Still good viewing,,,,,

Great vids!! How do they unload these bales???
@FarmingInsider
@FarmingInsider 2 жыл бұрын
Some unload the old fashioned way by cutting the bundles and bringing bales out 1 by 1, but many efficient places have loading docks they drive a small machine into and back out with the bundles

Please tell Carl we have a 474 too ! My husband HATES working on it because he can’t find any parts. Does Carl have any good sources. Right now, he’s fixing it so that the hydraulics both deal with the steering and the front end loader. He’s having trouble with something on it. I’m not a mechanic so I can’t tell you exactly. I love the thing when it’s working. Laugh Out Loud ! I’d send you a picture of me on it with the front end loader but you can’t do that here. Glad I don’t have horses anymore. The cost, labor and time are all about equally intensive. Love watching your videos. HAPPY NEW YEAR ! Hope the weather is agreeable for a great hay season this year ! Update - sent you a private message on Facebook with a picture for Carl of me and my 464. *grin*

Way to hard on van trailer that y I never haul cheap hay in my van
@FarmingInsider
@FarmingInsider 2 жыл бұрын
The damage we see from factory loading docks with guys hot rodding fork lifts into these trailers, lifting stuff up and putting holes in the roof, smashing the sides and stabbing forks into the floor is more than we will ever do with hay. It’s probably 1x a week we alert a driver to damage in their trailer before we load (presumably from the last stop) and we’ve never been told we damaged a trailer with hay. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but drivers haul way worse
