Wow there’s a whole new channel, Learn Christmas Lighting !! Interesting !! ❤ Would there be regulations when lighting up the sky with these lights? Do we need permission from the city council or the airport authorities? Just wondering. 😅

In most cities, nope. There are a few larger cities that have regulations on searchlights, but in terms of airports there is no regulation, these are not lasers.

One presumes that to see light from moving heads in the air requires particulates in the air. Mostly moisture or humidity. Here in SoCal it's so dry that we seldom even get dew. Would these work as expected in an arid climate?

Yeah, we still see them work well in CA - take for example Tom BetGeorge, who is using 230w heads that are a similar brightness to the Dominar X - he's been using them for years without any haze/fog, and it works great. We also have people in AZ using Dominar fixtures and they're really happy with them. Some quick tips for maximum visibility: keeping the angles lower (take note of them in the 2nd half of this video), and keeping the brightness on other props down.
