I love the way the boys are included in everything! From planting, to picking fruits off trees, asking where the water pipe is ( Crusoe knew!) , and just asking if they think Mario is doing a good job. Letting them know their opinion is worthy, their presence is welcomed, is just beautiful to see. We have so many young adults nowadays who have no interest in helping around indoor or outdoor chores but wait for mummy and daddy to take care of it. I see these two Newby boys growing up to be of great help, and joy in this family. These boys definitely get their outdoor activities in.

It was interesting to hear Crusoe use the word harvesting the oranges not picking. Very impressed he knew exactly where the water pipe was. They really are a great example of how children grow with the land and understand where their food comes from. Well done to the parents.

I agree..it reminds me so much of my childhood on our farm in South Africa. My dad did everything with us tagging along …I remember “ helping “ him dig drainage ditches and plant strawberry plants, riding tractors , feeding sheep and cattle …I’m sure we were a huge annoyance but he had endless patience with us and as a result , we all have a great work ethic and we are not afraid to tackle anything. Cruisoe and Sawyer will be just the same I’m sure which is amazing , especially today where so many children are coddled and over protected , in my humble opinion. John and Tara are doing such a wonderful job. ❤

There is nothing sweeter than the sound of a child's laughter. The uninhibited joy is impossible to replicate once we get older. Do either of you record them telling you stories at bedtime? My nephew used to turn Goldilocks and the Three Bears into a two hour made for TV script! Caruso would probably add a digger! Sawyer would add bears who like oranges! I'm amazed and delighted for you all with the progress of everything on the farm. Keep up the good work. BTW Tara, you are NOT a moaner, you're a mum. Sometimes they are confused by those who've never done the job. 👍👍👍

Tara, you are not a complainer, the daily repetition of cleaning tasks and the knowledge that you will be doing these for the next 20 years before your sons grow and leave home is daunting. I remember when I realized that I hadn't needed to vacuum for a week and that the kitchen and bathrooms stayed clean, was one of deep pleasure for me. I missed my children who were out on their own, our pets who had passed on and my then husband who travelled 2 weeks out of 4. What did I do ? I got another dog who created new messes and chaos in my life but also added pleasure and laughter.

I think getting the boys involved in almost everything around the farm is wonderful. It gives them such great lessons for life. Mario has been working like crazy with those enormous rocks. Don’t put pressure on your self with the garden give it a miss this year , concentrate on the new build and planting of the bio pool inside and out you are not supper woman , I’m speaking from experience of 2 children under four a new build living on site in a caravan in 1982 i know that’s a lot of years ago but I can remember and can tell you your time on the the new build this year and being mam is more important than the vegetables garden for your own health and sanity let the vegetables garden have a sleep this year… my joy for you all and the new house has brought back a lot off memories I can totally 💯 relate too the joy you are both feeling it’s fantastic to see ….

Tara I have to say you're only saying what any woman in your situation would say too. 😊 Can you tell us about the bio pool at some point please? I'm a little worried about the boys, how deep it is, and how you'll keep them safe. I know you'll have it sorted to perfection, I'm just interested. I felt myself wince a little when the plum tree was dug up, but know you're experts at relocating things, just like the daffodil bulbs. It does my heart good to see the boys planting them up. Hyvää Päivaa Nybys !! Another fine and full to the brim wiv action !! Crusoe had his red boots crosswise, but that did not stop him, and they probly sit well anyway.....Great to see the kids moving, digging and planting, and hepping dear dad felling the auld and bent cement poles..They seem to work well together too........Also so much boulders! They will certainly be more than enough to circumwent the biopool. Lets hope its full of water in spring, and you add rainwater into it regularly, if I understand.... Regarding the finca/house they are already filling some of the pillars, so lots of stuff is already done. And Mauri drives his truck so well, handling these large boulders so well. He use both ends perfectly, and by now you have a road down to the biopool, As for the Grand Stairs, have the sides been done, or is it coming?? I like it for widening on the lower end too. Joao is not here, but maybe at the uni?? Did you found any nice ceramic tiles in Marocco?? Heppi to see things are working well, and you got a rest in Marocco.... Here the weird weather continue, now +6, so almost all snow gone. I bought a smart telly, probly coming soon,and jog/walk 3 km today.... Allda bestest from mikke..😀
