Honestly, the best solution is to color-match everything to the little doggie floof, so that the little doggie floof matches all of the decor 😅 And it's so fun to see more of Haley! We can see how happy you are with her and you two are simply adorable together 🥰🥰

adding the baby pool noodles that come with the couch cover really neatens it and straightens out the folds and tucks in the loose baggy bits. I bought one for my couch and it looks great,... thanks to the mini noodles 😁

The couch cover, those tube things are meant to push into the cracks of each edge to pull the cover tighter into each edge...makes a world difference.

I have moved about 34 times in my life sometimes a few kilometers, sometimes up to 20+ hours drive away. I have become good at packing, but unpacking is always a chore because you are tired and working out how to best use new space. It takes time but it always gets there. Four years ago finally bought a (hopefully) forever house and the moves are over. I'm 60 now and just don't have it in me anymore. Best of luck with the new living arrangements, I hope you and Hayley are so happy together. I have been with my now wife 29 years this year. Time flies so make the most of it all. The doggies are gorgeous.

The way you fix the sofa cover is with the foam cylinders you threw on the ground when taking out the cover. You press them down between the sofa back and the seat cushions to stretch the cover tight, then do the same thing between the arms and sides of the cushions. If you have any loose fabric after that fold it neatly and use upholstery screws to tack it down. They look like cork screw thumbtacks and you twist them into the fabric to hold it.

For the sofa cover: Upholstery screw pins. They look like a little clear thumb-tack with a corkscrew shaped pin. They just twist in and hold fast. So much easier to put in and take out than sewing. And they've held up to my greyhound climbing all over my (HER) chaise lounge.

My Ex-Mother in law sewed a chair cover using sheets. The great thing was that she took the matching bed skirt and cut it and sewed elastic on it so that after she tucked the sheet all in the chair the ruffled bed skirt fit around the bottom circumference of the chair to keep it all contained and finished looking. I thought it was very clever and something like that may work for the dog-couch.

Don’t worry. You’ll get there! I only use sofa covers with separate seat cushions. It really makes a big difference.

I’d think about making your bedroom seating area your TV zone and having your kitchen living room as relaxing / conversational space. Unless you have regular movie nights with friends, maybe you don’t need to make it tv focused at all.

I like where you put the couch! The other wall might work as well, but from the camera view it looks a little narrower than the wall you chose to face the couch to, so it could feel a little cramed. Also you have a natural devision in the otherwise big room, which I really like :) Glad a part two will follow❤

Can you imagine what you went there with one luggage 😂😂 we accumulate a lot of stuff in a life time. It always surprises me with each move, how much stuff I have and how much of them I don’t use and keep „just in case”. Your vlog is great Hermione. I personally don’t like so called polished vlogs as they don’t represent reality. Your vlog is vey much on point with what goes into moving to a new house. @adrianna1289 I totally agree. The polished vlogs tend to give me some anxiety because life doesn't work that way and you can never measure up to them. Hermoine's videos are a more accurate representation of life, and how it takes time to move, to decorate, to diy etc

I have a sofa cover I actually like. The "secret" is getting one that has two pieces: one for the structure and a separate one for the sitting cushions 😊

I'm about to move for the first time, and seeing actual footage of an actual, real moving process is good to keep yourself realistic. Things will start feeling chaotic, I will feel like a failure, and then I'll remember your video and think "ok, Hermione Chantal has moved a ton of times, this is normal, don't panic".

What I did with my sofa cover was pulled the cover tights over the base, left all the access at the back where it isn’t visible the got individual covers for the cushions and back cushions

if you get a large throw or blanket with tassels could brighten that sofa and make it look better so 3 one for the back and seating and 2 smalls for the arms. You will get there don't worry so much on how things look more on getting it functional for you both. Definite a larger bed and sofa would be nice for you. I don't know how many bedrooms you have but if the kids slept on yours when staying they could crash on the sofa I guess. Don't buy anything else until you have unpacked. You are a sweet couple it will get easier.

You can buy separate blankets for the seat of the sofa and separate blankets for the back (this way, you will have the opportunity to make stylish combinations :)) Additionally, this will create a tidy look. You can be sure that it will look great with patternless, stylish, fluffy pillows because I tried it and approved it :) :) But don't be too upset if it doesn't work. Even as an architect, I can sometimes feel helpless about decoration because of my cat, but anyway her love comforts me 😇😇

Did you use the foam sticks that the cover came with? Those help you with the tightness of the cover when you put them between the couch and the cushions

I have thought about that but it’s in two pieces so I would need 8 legs and something about having the legs in the middle so close together feels a little off to me 😅 but it’s worth a try if I can find some good ones! Thank you for the advice 🩷

I also regret buying sofa covers. They are too small and even if you use the foam noodles, I find they start working their way out. What did help keep the covers on the sofa base is upholstery screws but they still look a mess around the arms etc.

When you cover a sofa, it’s no longer what you chose and paid for. I’d just put something on the seats, but I no longer even do that, and I have a new sofa. There are roller gadgets that you can use between vacuuming.

You need the 2 Seater XL with cushion cover (2) from Temo. Got mine and it fit perfectly. Yours does not have cushion covers.

Btw I just put 2 IKEA tiphede carpets in off-white on my cream colored angled couch. The texture is nice and they are so thin ,they fit into the washing machine .they are basically thick blankets,not real carpets

They slide over, they’re just privacy windows there’s like 3 layers :) I keep them covered in videos for safety
