At first I was thinking that this is a really nice spacious apartment for 1 person and it comes with with all those appliances, but then you mentioned all the problems with the incomplete and broken things in the apartment. I would be so upset with the apartment if they turn the apartment over to me like that. To me it conveys that the negligent management didn't actually do a walk through of the apartment to make sure the apartment unit is in a livable condition before renting it out, even if they do respond quickly to your reports. Kudos for you for making it work and being so chill. It looks so cozy after you tidied up everything!

It was for sure a bit of a roller coaster of being super excited and then deflating more and more as I found more things wrong with the apartment. But I think I kinda got what I paid for so to speak and somewhat expected things to not be 100%. After seeing everything not working, it was a huge, pleasant surprise that they actually fixed things promptly. (Still waiting on the fridge door handle and a shelf in one of the cabinets though lol).

Hey! I have been enjoying all your videos, especially as someone who really hopes to be part of the DukeMED community! I find all your videos extremely helpful and made my life so much easier when going through the Duke secondaries (which are long but really enjoy diving deeper into my story and having those moments to relive those moments of why I chose medicine! I was so set on Duke that I spent countless hours pre-writting Duke's essay and submitted the next day after getting the secondary, lol. Good Luck at Duke and if you come across an M3 named Amanda, she was a former classmate of mine at FIU!

Brother, I just binged your whole channel. Very entertaining, you provide a lot of value. I’m absolutely shocked you don’t have like 50-100k subs. There has to be something we’re doing wrong. Maybe you gotta use some more hashtags? Maybe ask people to share the videos or something idk. More people need to binge this channel. I appreciate you, please keep posting.

That's incredibly generous of you to say. I can't say I know what/if I'm doing something wrong lol, so I'm always open to suggestions. I'm hoping that broadening the scope of my videos some will help. I may need to do a better job of encouraging people to share, but I never want to be a pushy content creator. I'm very patient and just doing this to help people. If people watch, they watch. If they don't, I'll still make videos trying to help people. I appreciate you for watching and commenting!

@@DoctorRex My friend Ahmad, @TheGoldenBalance said to try doing some KZbin shorts, and shout yourself out on other social media pages like tiktok and Instagram if you have them. And if you have time, there’s a way to play the algorithm. Best of luck man. I really like the 3 minute fun facts you do too. Maybe for shorts you can provide value in 20-50 seconds and push those and it will drive traffic to your channel maybe? Idk. Seeing your journey has been really helpful and motivating for my journey. You come off as super authentic, charismatic, and genuine, eventually you’ll pop off don’t worry.

Great vid! This may be a tiny bit 'off-brand' from your normal content, but could you talk about how to maintain relationships in med school/dating and dating culture in med school?
@DoctorRex
@DoctorRex 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely make a video about that in a few months once I get to really experience what it's like to juggle relationships during clerkships.

You let me know two years ago about student loans. You said I can borrow only up to the cost of attendance. (Tuition and living expenses). Are you taking out the COA amount? Isn’t that like making bank there? Will Biden write it all off in a year or more? So I’d like to borrow the maximum and as soon as possible.
