The money you get for the flower arraignments depends on the quality. And the quality depends on your mood. So if you're tense or uncomfortable you get bad arrangements. Make sure your needs are good before you're crafting expensive arrangements.

This logic applies to anything your Sim does, so I wonder why James hasn't catch up on it. You want good quality woodworking? A good mood plus being focused helps for a better quality and price. You want to woo someone? You can't if your Sim wants to pee. You want good food? Don't wait until your Sim is uncomfortable from hunger or they will make poor quality food.

This Rags to Riches series should have more of a goal. The jungle adventure one was about having a museum and then dine out was five 5-star restaurants etc. They're all about more than just 'making money' like you mentioned in episode 1 I think the goal could be to own a flower shop, or maybe own a barn with a big greenhouse with all types of different flowers. I'm not sure, but I feel like the goal is missing :P

The bees are enraged because they have mites! Put on the beekeeper suit, treat them for mites, then they will feel better, then you can collect the swarm without being stung.

Fair point, but eating 6-10 mushrooms is still cheaper than $35 honey. At the end of the day it's just a few samoleons, and maybe time is money at that point, but from a purely financial standpoint mushrooms are cheaper to eat.

well not only that but he was making skill level 3 flower arrangement at level 3 skill.. so it was his newest learnt "recipe" while also being in a poor mood.. which generally leads to failure in all other skills..

"when you're in the beekeeper suit you can't do anything with them" not true! The only things the beekeeper suit prevents you from doing are bonding with the bees and collecting the swarm. You can wear the beekeer suit for collecting honey and applying mite treatment. You don't need to bond with the bees every five seconds, you already have enough of a relationship with them, I don't think it's helping you any more, you just need to do it occasionally to maintain the relationship.

Don't sell the mushrooms - eat them. The honey is 35 times what a mushroom is. Or at least don't sell all the mushrooms. Also, instead of wasting 200 per four plants, just delete the flooring where your living space isn't.

There's a point for having a tent. It has "relax" interaction which boosts fun and works while sleeping. Just do "relax" and "sleep" at the same time every night. It will solve your fun problem forever and save a lot of time.

Also, sleeping on cheap beds leaves your Sim uncomfortable. I had a Sim live in a tent through most of the time I played him, and he got good sleep, plenty of woohoo, was rarely tense, and never had the uncomfortable moodlet from it.

You put the holly indoors but it doesn't need to be. The holly's season is winter so it will be fine outdoors. Use the greenhouse space for other things.

Check how much the honey sells for, but I'm pretty sure you should be selling the honey and eating the mushrooms because the mushrooms hardly sell for anything and the honey sells for like $35.

If your friendship/relationship with the bees is already maxed, I dunno that 'Bonding' with them actually does anything. It doesn't seem to calm them down, at any rate. Constant pestering of them might actually be what's keeping them Irritated and Enraged, just a thought.

bonding with the bees does decrease their aggression slightly... but its still usually better to leave them alone.. if they are enraged they will just attack you if you try to bond with them... trying to bond with them can only help if they are just irritated.. once they reach enraged you just want to leave them alone for awhile.

Lora Elstad well it can still spawn random villagers, but you can also feed cowplants bread so they don't starve ;P so as long as you're willing to go outside for a few minutes to make sure it gets fed I'm guessing it should be fine unless they generally dont do good in winter,

Just wanted to say a huge thanks for seriously brightening my day yesterday and again today! I downloaded seasons overnight but can't actually play it until next week because I work 6 back to back 11-16 hour shifts at work this week so I was excited to get the notification that you've started this R2R already! Your Rags to Riches are my favorite series and I was super excited to watch the first episode just before going to bed after I finished working a super stressful 15 hour shift, and now I just woke up right as this was uploaded and have a 12 hour shift today that I've already got anxiety about because yesterday was so bad. I usually put on your builds playlist on in the background at work when I get stressed as well and it really helps me get through the long shifts. You keep opening the hive at night and when its cold. If the bees are slightly accurate (to real life) they hate cold and sleep at night, try not to mess with them then.

Don't know if it helps, but you can actually choose how long you want each season to last. Default is 1 week, but 2 weeks and a full month are also available in the options menu

Quick tip: whenever you’re going to harvest or sell honey, wear the beekeeper’s suit. You can still do these actions while wearing the suit and the bees will not get angry.

The bees are enraged all of the time as you keep taking their honey. They originally start as calm and through bonding with them you can improve their mood. When they are enraged you should change into your beekeepers' suit as this will stop your sim becoming tense and uncomfortable. Besides that great job with this series and the 'Mad Scientist' series

Maybe plant some fruits/vegetables and have those be the income. Then all of your flowers can go towards arrangements.

If he keeps bonding with the bees, the less is he going to ever get attacked. My sim had relationship with the beebox at max, and they never got past Calm... unless mites became a trouble, so 15 simoleons later and they went back to Calm. It's also better to collect the honey when it says 'Full' not 'Partially full'. That gets 3 honey jars instead of just one. Bees are where the money's at... in the right seasons. I'm not fully certain if James comes to that realisation in this video, I'm halfway through. Even so, I'll leave the tip here for everyone.

You should double check the holly bushes before moving them inside. They may be a winter plant. Also, like many others have said; eat the low cost mushrooms and sell the higher cost honey. You cannot tend to plants unless your sim can get to them so you need some space on at least one side of each plant/row.
