Hey Paddy, thanks for bringing back so many great memories of Koh Samui. So far I have only traveled extensively in the southern half of Thailand but my favorite location is Koh Samui. I stayed around on the west coast at Lipa Noi at the Lipa Lodge and it was wonderful. I smiled when you pulled up at the Big Buddha in the exact same parking spot that I did. The little cafe in front of where you parked was a lovely place to cool off with a Pineapple smoothie and just watch the planes departing Koh Samui. Personally I never wanted to leave Koh Samui because even riding the scooter around the island I felt like it was the first sane place to ride in the southern half of Thailand. The market at the Big Buddha was a great place to do some shopping so I personally enriched the markets somewhat 🙂 In December 2024 I will return to Thailand to explore the northern half of the country and explore many of the places which you have already shown. Thanks again for the wonderful videos and for refreshing so many happy memories.

Your video's are not only informative, they are interesting and full of wit and humour. You give so much of yourself. Its a pleasure to watch you. Please don't listen to the negative comments people put up. Just remember, you can't please everyone. Just keep doing what you do best. We love watching you. The BBC should give you your own holiday show. You are a natural. We are hoping to do a 2 month back packing holiday in 2022. So are learning as much as we can from you now. Never done back packing before and now that we are retired, we thought, it's now or never. You only live once. Hope to see uou over there soon. Take care Paddy. And stay safe. Tina & Steve Davis x

In the past I've enjoyed videos by creators like you and CB Media and Retired Working for You, but as news of the pandemic in Thailand is getting worse, with many Thai people lined up outside Thai hospitals unable to get help, and many Thai people unable to get vaccines -- I now can't help but feel that the vlog content being created by some westerners in Thailand right now is rather privileged -- as you and others retreat to safe havens for wealthy westerners inside Thailand -- which means that the Thai resources that could be used to help the sick in Thailand are instead being diverted to pampered westerners. It isn't your fault that the pandemic is happening, but I'd like to see channels such as yours do more to alert your viewers how dire things are in Thailand right now for Thai people -- and perhaps if western vloggers spent some time alerting potential travelers of the situation -- then perhaps the Thai government would do more to help its own people right now.
