Great place. It's not about the space, it's more about using the space and making it feel like home. That's great organization considering you just moved. In a few month's time, it'll be even better

That's what I think too, if you're thoughtful about placing furniture and decorating, even a small space can become very liveable and comfortable!

Happy Friday everyone! I'm finally settled in my new place. I've been renting for almost 5 years prior to this, and never felt like putting in too much effort in furnishing it, because I knew one day I'd move out. It will be fun to slowly furnish it with new items and make it my own! What kind of place are you living at now? Are you renting, thinking of buying your own place, or already have? Let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear from you! Btw, I've listed some of the items I've bought on Amazon over the years that I found really useful and affordable, you can check them out in the descriptions!

Hey gyus!! I’m from South Korea, and I don’t know why your video suddenly I can see. I guess I have lived in Toronto before. But I came back Korea for now. 😥 Actually I sometimes miss there. So your video makes me remind my toronto life! Thankss and have a nice day! From 🇰🇷

Man this video really gave me perspective on how much space I actually need lol! Was afraid a studio would not be enough space for me but I guess I was just overthinking it! Thanks a lot 🥳

Yeah, at first it seems like a tiny space, but it really depends on the layout and the way you furnish it! And of course, the large windows helped!

Congratulations!! 🎉 You guys have done well with making use of your 400 square foot Studio Apartment! We too (Hubby & I) live in a 400 square feet Studio Apartment. We absolutely LOVE it!! 💕💕💕💕 The only thing I find challenging is only having 1 Closet. So that has been a adjustment. But we LOVE how bright it is, how easy it is to clean,our neighbors and neighborhood and the affordability!! It's nice to see other Couples living in something similar 🤗. Hope you find a coffee table. I found a really nice tufted round one on Wayfair. I LOVE it!! 😊💕

Thank you! Nice that you also enjoy studio life! Yup, having 1 closet is challenging, but it really forces us to thoughtful of what we buy. For each piece of clothing that gets added, at least one has to leave (at least, that's the rule!!). So far it has gone well though. Less stuff, more time for other things! Will find that coffee table soon!

Great use of space! I like the layout of the condo and yes the light from those big windows with unobstructed views! I can imagine a cozy vibe watching a ligtning storm or big snowfall while sitting on your couch 😌

I haven't thought about that, but yes, I'm really looking forward to the winter (no, no of course I'm enjoying the summer now😎!) to watch the snow!

Very good video, a small place is better because it does make you cut back on things, spend less and save more 👍.

That's exactly it! Every time I want to buy something as simple as a new pair of shoes I have to ask myself: Do I really want to add more clutter, or is there another pair that's ready to be exchanged :)

1:25 I would have placed the bed facing the other way, so the closet is not behind the backboard and then placed TV stand next to the closet door to its left. In other words, the bed headboard against the wall and part of the window and the bed footboard facing the closet door. Only drawback is the TV would not be directly in front of you, but still a better set up, I think. Congrats on your new place!

Good job! I like you said the word "spacious" several times in the video with a very optimistic view of life! Maybe you can put a narrow table behind the sofa for the drinks and more decors?

Hey LIC. I think you're putting a lot of effort to make your channel grow. The small advice/feedback I would like to give is, create some nice theme and some nice music for your channel with every start of the video. Something catchy. Also be more energetic/enthusiastic in your videos. Atm you sound a bit tired/sad too much toned down. I like your channels so wanted to give something that might help it grow.

Thanks for your feedback, all great points! I will gradually be tweaking things to keep improving my videos. As for my tone... that might just be my nature.

@@LivinginCanada yeah, I think the hardest part is to find yourself in it, be yourself but also make your videos or your tone exciting for the viewers. Good luck :)

From what I know it used to be possible for non-residents, but earlier this year a law was put in place to restrict non-Canadians from buying residential properties for 2 years: www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca/professionals/housing-markets-data-and-research/housing-research/consultations/prohibition-purchase-residential-property-non-canadians-act#EXCEPTIONS

which neighborhood is the safest in Toronto?
@LivinginCanada
@LivinginCanada Жыл бұрын
I think Toronto is relatively safe (on a global scale), despite many recent concerning events. Hard to tell which is 'safest', I'd say it's easier to say which areas are sketchy. From what I heard, Regent Park is one of the areas to avoid, especially at night. Maybe I should make a video about this some day!

How much cheapest decent one bedroom apartment while you checking ?
@LivinginCanada

Rent about $2,300 (below that you'd need to look outside of the core of Toronto), to buy, in the high 400s or low 500s.

Have I understood correctly, the condo you purchased for half a million is 400 ft.²?
@LivinginCanada
@LivinginCanada Жыл бұрын
Yes, that's correct. Around 420 sqft, and a bit. below C$ 500k. It sounds crazy, but that's what prices are like now in Toronto!

@@LivinginCanada unfortunately that is very true about Toronto and it has always been like that. I am in Montreal and have had relatives in Toronto all my life so I have been very well aware of how crazy the market is over there from Wayback in the 90s. We had a friend who went to school there and at the time was renting a basement apartment for over $1000. I had caught in your video that you were paying that price. I just hadn’t realized it was that tiny. You’ve done a wonderful job of maximizing your space and I am sure it is in a wonderful location where you can enjoy so many things outside your home as well.
