I love your new space. The laundry and extra space is great. Plus, the information on how to go about finding a place to stay was valuable. Congrats on new beginnings.

It’s so interesting to see how things are done in other countries. I live in Sydney Australia and renting is very different here. You usually put down a months worth of your rent as a deposit and then just pay a weekly rent which can be anywhere between $AU400 -$800 sometimes more too depending on where you live and whether it’s a house or a flat. No huge deposits required which if good. Just found your channel and really enjoy seeing your videos 😁😁👋👋
@MINJAE12 жыл бұрын
Oh that’s similar to the U.S. we pay a deposit that equals 1 months rent (if it’s fancy 3months) and then we pay rent monthly. The Korean system is very interesting!

We actually explain in our How We Met video, but long story short, Min was doing martial arts every day near his house, and but once they closed because of covid, I’m honestly not sure why we didn’t go to my house 😂 we were just already settled 😂😂😂

Don't tell me about moving 😳😬😅...😉... Done that two times in last the last years... Everytime we moved, we also had to do renovations of our apartments. Was in our contract. And add to that one more extra renovation in our old apartment, because we needed one more extra room for our daughter. But a few months after we've done that, we got a chance to move into a slightly biger apartment next door. So we rolled our sleeves up 💪 and teared down the prefabricated wall 😙 ( btw, worth around 300 euro's 😅) and moved. So why take unrestored apartment and then even paying the rent, "you" might ask... It's not a privat apartment \ rent, it's from country's housing fond. That way it's much cheaper and it's also for indeterminate time. But on the other hand, it's much harder to find this kind of aparments. You have to apply to to the public tender (once a year) and the waiting lines are hundred and hundred miles long 😉😂. So we rather took unrestored apartment from the list, that was available at that time. Everytime we moved, we also had to pay bail. Not that easy to get that pile🙃 of money at once, as you2 know yourselfs. Big Thanks goes to our parents. So Im soooo done with moving furniture, cleaning, packing and unboxing....for the next century or so 💯×💯🤣! Oh, and we live on the second floor. With no elevator and very narrow staircase, so you can imagine 💪😅🥵... So enough moving for me, until I'm hundred years old 😌 and then I'll maybe think again 😁. So sorry for this long blah × blah × blah 🥺, of mine. But I kind of fell into the story... Btw, Love watching your Vlogs!

Hello Min question have you guys ever done an all Korean speaking video? If you have I must have missed it and I think I've seen most of your videos. Can you please do a video of you speaking Korean like for 30 minutes a video of you just speaking Korean you and your boyfriend. I've seen other couples do it and you said you can speak Korean so I'm just fascinated to hear you speak it ON your next video!! 😁😁😁😂😂👍😇

Wow! Is the $40,000 a downpayment on buying the apartment or the deposit for renting the apartment? If it is a deposit for rental why is the deposit so high?
@MINJAE13 жыл бұрын
Deposit~ We got this apartment through Wolsae (as described in the beginning of the video~ ) for Wolsae, it is a bit high, but not totally uncommon. It’s high for westerns, but in Korea, it’s normal 🥴

Is the deposit really $40,000 or did you mean $4,000?
@MINJAE12 жыл бұрын
Nope, really 40,000 lol well converting it actually it would be about 33,000USD in todays rate.
@proyouservicesltd36522 жыл бұрын
@@MINJAE1 I am surprised there aren't more homeless people in Korea lol. That $40,000 can build you a decent home in some countries.
