Moving machines around

I needed to move my monarch lathe into the new section of our shop and later I got two more machines that also needed moving. One was a modern turn 1550 lathe (a clone of a clausing) and the other was a Victor Milling machine that's a Bridgeport clone.

Bravo.....what a deal on the mill and lathe, is that a Colchester Triumph 2000.....love your Monarch if the new lathe is a Coldchester 15x50, it weighs about 5,000 lbs.....cheers from an old guy in Florida ...Paul

It's a coldchester clone, it is a 15x50. My guess was that it's 3000lbs. Maybe the factory in chiwan left out some of the cast iron. It needs a little bit of work in the gear boxes. The feed and threading gearbox needs bearings. The main gear box needs some bushings for the middle of the gears. It will be a future video, probably this winter.
