The actor playing Gyedo is a popular celebrity in Korea, so those familiar with him would have known that his role was a bit bigger than just being a bus driver. About Gye-do's powers t's also worth to notice that on previously episodes, when Huisoo asked Bong-seok "what are memories", he answered her that he saw that memories are basically electric impulses which caused her to frown upon him. That was a little detail on the dialogue to prepare us for the reveal of Bungae-man's (and his dad's) powers.

korean word "Bungae" as bungaeman means lighting or lighting bolt( thunder ) in english. The bus driver is more of an electrician than a lightning man in practical terms because he obtain electricity from batteries, rather than generating lightning through natural weather phenomena. However, he is referred to as "Lightning Man" because of his portrayal of the superhero character named "Bungaeman"(Lightning Man) on the television station where he appeared.

He doesn't obtain electricity through batteries. There's electricity coursing through every living body, like the electric eel his teacher mentioned. The batteries allow Gyedo and his father to store memories. They can also provide a power boost.

It's so funny y'all not noticing the bus driver because he's played by Cha Taehyun and I practically screamed the first time I saw him in the show. He's an A-list Korean actor who usually the male lead in Kdramas or rom-coms, but has also starred in many movies including the action films "Along With the Gods" which was one of the highest grossing South Korean films a few years ago. He's also just a really famous personality on variety shows and often a TV host as well. It was crazy to see in this episode him put on a school uniform again 🤣 He's pushing 50, but has always been known for his youthful face. They aged him down a bit with CGI, but it cracked me up! He's really so fantastic though and I highly recommend you all check out his shows or movies

the little boy who plays little Gyedo is from one of my other favorite kdramas "Hospital Playlist", which I highly recommend. he's such a little superstar cutie in that one haha Bungaeman and Bongseok are both sweethearts and we need to protect them at all costs! 🥰

In Korea many there is many bus drivers that are required to wear gloves. Gyedo fit in so well into this job as well due to the uniform requiring gloves. Also, depending on what bus line, Korean bus drivers are often required to wear neat clothes like a dress shirt, tie or smart pants.

Actually, the Korean actor who played Bungaeman, the bus driver is a very very famous actor in Korea. He is like Adam Sandler in South Korea. His best Korean movie was the old comedy movie named "My Sassy Girl". It was a HUGE HIT comedy movie in Korea when it was released in theaters of Korea. And later, even Holly Wood made a remake movie as an American version "My Sassy Girl", which became a failure movie in America.

Bongseok and Kanghoon both lacked confidence, making it seemingly impossible to get close to Heesu. However, Bongseok ended up becoming closer to Heesu when they were both late for school and had to clean the bathroom together. Conversely, Kanghoon rarely found an opportunity to become friends with Heesu. With their(kanghoon & bongseok) respective secrets, it was challenging to see each other as close friends, but they both believed that the other was a good person through the same class. Frustrated by the missed opportunities, Kanghoon accidentally discovered Bongseok's secret ability. He also vented his frustration by jumping and hitting the wall at the gym. Kanghoon's remark to Heesu about our father running a private business like your farther stemmed from his desire to find something in common with Heesu to get closer to her. therefore Kang Hoon's strange behaviors and goofy words stem from liking Heesu.

Moon Sung Guen, a Korean actor who played the role of the bad, mean chief Min, is actually the son of a very famous Korean pro-democracy fighter. The actor's father was a minister and a fighter who fought for democracy in Korea in the 1980s. In 1980s, Korea once had a brutal dictatorial government like Hitler, and during that dictatorial government, many young Koreans were sent to prison, tortured, or killed for Korea's democracy movement. The actor's father even visited North Korea in secret for the reunification of the Republic of Korea and was sent to prison for it. Because his father was such a pro-democracy fighter, for a while, actor Moon Sung Guen lost many opportunities as an actor under the pressure of the authoritarian government during his young days. But times have changed now, and he remains with us as a wonderful veteran Korean actor. As a middle-aged Korean who lived in Korea in the 1980s, I am very proud of him as an actor. And I'm sure his father will be truly happy for him in heaven now.
