Cool stuff BTS. The happiness you have when the ‘ohana is together is priceless, per your facial expressions. Find it, however it may come to you, flick it on. Usually it’s when we put the least amount of expectations on ourselves is when we do the best. Frees up the mind, body follows. Kill it going forward, NO pressure. Easier said than done but try to block it out, yet flicking the ON switch for go time. 🤙🏽

Mikaela, I keep hearing comments about how good I was or am. As for "am", I have little idea. I have to get back into much better shape before I even attempt to say. I also plan to try those new knee support sleeves. I believe they should help me. In any case, I skied against any number of excellent racers at various times. However, I also ski raced on the coin op course at Alpine Meadows a lot. My fastest time there was 28.41 seconds. However, I had been getting better every year at that time. I expect I would have continued to get better. I had twisted my ankle very badly my last racing year near the end of the season on a practice slalom course. It took about 3 years to recover enough that I even wanted to race more. I quit racing in favor of golf. However, the fastest time I saw on that same course for Franz Weber was about 26.5 seconds. Franz Weber was an Austrian speed team racer (DH and SG) who was also a six time world champion speed skier (the straight line type of race). He was good. He skied in the Olympics in speed skiing at about that time. I think I heard he finished sixth. But he told us that a week later he got another 10 mph using a different helmet. That would have put him in first at the Olympics. He was gym trained by Arnold Schwarzenegger when he was just Mr. Olympus. We used to joke about how strong he was; but he really did have tree trunk type legs. They were big tree trunks. I expect I would have continued to improve for a while longer. I am not sure what my fastest time would have been. I hope this somewhat puts your mind at ease. His legs made Aleks's legs look small by comparison.
