Super great that the res horses are going to be saved and with that said, I do believe the young men and women who love their res horses perhaps will volunteer to do some handling BEFORE the res horses go to rescues like yours. I have friends in AZ that quite often rescue from the reservations. I was so surprised that many of the res horses are really beautiful . One would think with in breeding because of so many studs running that more congenital things would be happening to the progeny . Many of them are colorful and not huge so great for younger people to get.

It’s a liability to adopt out any aggressive animal. Happens to dogs at shelters all the time, since they all have to pass an evaluation. Not a pleasant reality, but it makes sense for them not to want to risk having an animal they adopted out hurt someone. 😢

Aa good program! Working with the reservation is a win-win! They could develop their own breed of Mustang and getting their handlers on board with educating each horse will help ensure each horse getsxinto the right home!

Edit: I thought this video was awfully short compared to the others. After reading comments, I'm thinking there was a LOT more of this video in the Live than what's here. The video even starts out like it's had the beginning cut off. Did the whole video not upload? Awesome donation by Wallace Trailers. Thank you from all of us Horse Plus fans and supporters! I'm happy for the puppies going off to find their forever homes. We got to know them a little bit via these vlogs. Will miss them, especially Joy. I'm thinking that surrendered, neurological pinto mare won't have a good prognosis. Hoping for the best but, prepared for the worst. I hope the other two will be able to find new homes.

Some of those horses are beautiful. Have watched another channel and the person bought a wild completely unhandled filly for $25 because nobody wanted her she was only a weanling. After about two years and spending days and hours being kind and gentle she is a beautiful well grown horse that anyone would be proud of.

You don't need that large amount of litter. One full scoop is enough. It will save you a lot of money each year.

Also, clay litter can be very detrimental to cats. Better off using saw dust or a silica based litter.

Just curious why you would park the chute against a back wall, instead of against a wall with two openings (one at each end of the chute) so it's more like a drive-thru with minimal steps into and out of the building for the animal - who often would appreciate fewer steps.

The side does swing open and that is how they have been letting them out lately. I am guessing that is less stressful for the horses.

I hope that the kittens and cats aren't confined to the cages 24/7 . Keeping them confined like this in such small dark spaces is quite inhumane. If there is nowhere else to put them Intaking them should be considered a very temporary measure and Horse Plus should be actively searching for better non kill places to rehome them

It is only a temporary holding area, and the cats are given a great deal of attention. We work very hard to find them a proper home or transfer To other rescues.

Wild horses. HPHS is coming up with a program to get them gentled and adopted which will satisfy requirements of the SAFE act.
