Spot on. We just moved - again. By moving house so many times, we learned the hard way about several points you made. Just saw this video and never heard anyone say these things to us, it's just true. One box at a time. Need, use or love. With this move, I kept repeating a mantra of priority rooms: kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms. So true! We even designated my husband as the box break-downer, and a spot in the garage for the boxes. Yes we've craigslisted the boxes after unpacking before also. And we may have finally learned to declutter on both sides of a move. Thanks for the video. :)

Yes Indeed, start with highest priority areas, get busy with kids, 6 moves later, a huge basement is still hiding huge numbers of low priority boxes, kids in college and I'm watching your videos to keep me going to finally finish them!!!!!!!!! Yes please, can you also make some more organizational tips for drawers, closets, bedroom and more? This way we can have a different perspective because you have a different space. For example you might now have a corner in your closet or a smaller closet. So I was just wondering if you could have any tips on how to save as much space as possible. Should we fold or hang iteams? If you don't have enough hanging space, what/where do you put your jackets or how do you fold them if you have a lot of folding space? There are so many other questions people have, just wondering if you could please do me this favor, to all you tubers and watchers and fans? Thanks love you

Thank you for this video. It was the reminder I needed - it really isn't that hard and I can organize AFTER unpacking. After renting for years and trying to make small or inefficient spaces work, we now have our own home with maybe even too much space which is a little overwhelming. I’m glad I watched this because I’m trying to unpack and organize everything and I’m not getting anywhere!!! Alejandra, have you ever had a travertine tiles in the bathroom/kitchen/any where? We are renovating our new house and I am considering using natural stone, but in my country it is not popular at all. Cause when you have natural stone you cannot use chemical cleaners on it:-/ what is your opinion?

It is not functional. it will be better if you arrange to have small containers inside the drawers to put everything inside the drawers. because every time you open and close the draw everything will move around :( I moved recently, I had color taped the boxes, that made things so easy, for example, kitchen green, bedroom grey, office blue. just don't go crazy with the color tape because it will be confusing. my friends appreciated a lot, because the tape made things easier for everyone. Aslo, I took the clothes out of the closet with the hangers and put it inside a black garbage bag, depending on the size of the bag, maybe 15 hangers at the same time. transported in the car and just hanged it when you got to my new place. I bought at costco, a wrapping plastic, it was great!!! I used for almost everything, sofa, open containers. it was a big plus :) Aslo, small and heavy boxes.

My dilemma was not having enough space for all my stuff when I moved in with my boyfriend last November. Space that was dedicated to one person pretty much was now used by two. Plus, there is no organizational system going on. Unpacking took a long time and we just basically shoved boxes away, out of sight.

I'm no organizing expert but I have one tip when it comes to packing awkwardly shaped/sized stuff: those giant IKEA bags. They fit a lot and are super sturdy, not to mention cheap. You could wrap a lamp in your duvet and transport it using one of those bags.
