I happen to stumble on your channel as i was curious how on earth you guys are stranded/living off-grid on the remote island of Mentawai Indonesia. Thank God you guys make it..i can only say that i salute you both, you have the guts & perseverances against all odds you didn't surrender no matter how hard life is on the island. Now that you have solar power in your house, i believe your way of life gonna change for the better...trust me your prayer is answered and i can only wish you guys everlasting happiness...hope to visit your island one day as we tend to visit Indonesia next year. You might find it interesting to read The Malay Archipelago (1869) by Alfred Russell Wallace. A contemporary of Darwin, Wallace independently came up with a theory of natural selection. But his book about his explorations in the Malay area might seem familiar to your experience being on a remote island.
