Can you go over and work a ski season then fly home for summer and then come back to do another ski season on the same visa?
@caitlinlaurent8 ай бұрын
Yes you can! The time on your visa will still be ticking while you are home for the summer but you can leave and reenter as you like :)

Hi Caitlin & Tristan, hope you're having an amazing trip. I am planning to go over this Canadian summer or upcoming winter. Just wondering which third party company you choose to go through. Thanks!

Thank you! We very much love it here. We used ‘The Working Holiday Club’. We chat about it a little in this video. If you have any questions, feel free to dm Caitlin on Instagram and we can happily answer them for you x

Would be so interested to hear how hard it was to buy a van in Canada as a non resident....did you have to show visas to register...just wondering if it would be a nightmare if I were on a holiday visa but wanted to buy a car/van rather than hire
@caitlinlaurent2 жыл бұрын
It was no different compared to being a resident! We have gone through a few cars now (will update in a future video) and it’s been absolutely fine. We even bought the van on international licenses and are now looking to lease a car! If you have any specific questions let us know :)

Hi there, i just applied for a working holiday visa from new zealand. from my understanding it did not say you had to have a job offer for the working holiday. in fact kiwis are only eligible for the working holiday visa, not job placement or the other things under IEC (internation experience canada). so i think they must have changed the rules or either you are still correct and i missed something and better start looking for a job! I am currently in the pool waiting for an offer. thanks.

Hi Leo, as we mentioned the rules have changed since we came to Canada. At the time we did have to show proof of employment but you don’t need to anymore ☺️

We got the invitation to apply around the same time but our actual visas were approved 2 weeks apart! Very stressful process but fingers crossed for you both!

How do you do your tax return?
@caitlinlaurent9 ай бұрын
You can either do it yourself or hire someone to do it for you. At the end of the year, your workplace will provide you with a T4 which is a summary of all your earnings and you'll file a tax return online based on that. I have found the H&R website to be a really good, free option!
