I like the honesty. We're moving next month and it's a little scary but also quite exciting. I hope this move ends up being amazing for you!

Thanks for such an honest vlog. It's so eàsy to focus on all the positive but forget the very true and gut wrenching feeling of change not just for yourself but also your kids. You just never know, but it's good to appreciate the privilege that no decision is final.

@@ourdubaidiary Thank you for keeping it in, very rarely is the reality shown. One day we might make a move who knows and it just gave me a sense of appreciation for what it will actually feel like. Also looking forward to all the fun and you guys settling in 😊

It is hard leaving everything your know, family and friends to a new life to a different part of the world and culture. Nigerians have been doing to for years (and are still doing it), it has it advantages but growing up abroad means I did not really know my grandparents or relatives and only made a connections when we returned back home. At least you children have that connection with both your families and children will adjust and make new friends and at least your sons have each other. I guess for you as parents you have friends in the UK but I would encourage you to try and make new friends if you can.

Thanks for the comment 😊 Do you also live in Dubai? The boys have adjusted well and are already making friends and so are we. Agree that is a vital part of feeling settled when you are moving away from home!

Congratulations on your move. We are thinking of doing the move and we are coming to Dubai next week to look at schools and places to live so the kids (and us) can see if it’s right for us. I’m happy for you all and enjoy your new adventure. Nillie

Thank you for such an honest and insightful vlog! Riley’s reaction was just adorable 😢 we are thinking of making the big move and just like yourself want to spend a month there, hopefully early next year, first to explore how it would be living there before making the big decision. Would be very helpful if you could give some guidance on that. Did u guys live in a hotel for 4 weeks or get an airb&b or short term rental apartment?? Me and hubby are looking and very confused! Looking forward to upcoming vlogs! Xxx

Thanks for the message 🥰 yes it was super helpful for us to spend the 4 weeks here a couple of years ago. It gave us a really insight. We stayed in an Airbnb within walking distance to Dubai Marina. If you have any other questions we are more than happy to help 😊

@@ourdubaidiary nice! And totally understand mate, I’m 18 years in with the police and moving next month, savings in hand! Just need to find a job and eventually move the kids and misses! Totally understand that feeling though, I’ve put this off for years but finally made that decision.
