@@EmmaDailly awesome to hear that! 😃 a like minded person found my channel! 🥳 What is your fav place on the island 🏝️??
@EmmaDailly2 ай бұрын
@@StancyNova good question 😃I love Gran Tarajal, Puerto Lajas, Los Molinos and Las Sallinas. Beaches Esmerela and Juribio, La Pared. I love to spend time in Rosario, there are some great little places to eat and I can practice my Spanish. Also love anywhere peaceful, especially Cotillo Labyrinth, although Cotillo now has lost its charm and turning into Correlejo in my opinion! So many fab places, I love the island ❤️ How about you?

I’m on holiday here too. Strangely I feel an almost immediate connection to the island. I’m coming back later in the year, with some proper gear to explore the island. Will be buying your guide. Is there an art science in Correlajo or elsewhere. Printing facilities etc?
@StancyNova5 ай бұрын
@@jordieag so cool that you feel connected to the island 🏝️ I haven’t seen any painting workshop or anything like that. I can only recommend ceramics workshops. But something might pop up when you will arrive here! I would search for events in Facebook, probably groups probably!

Coffee in that part of the world, unless gotten from a specialty third wave shop, is rubbish stuff. Every holiday to Italy / Greece / Spain….I basically go two weeks cold turkey. Italy is the funniest as they’re so precious about their espresso and it’s all overly roasted and flavourless
@StancyNova5 ай бұрын
Finally!!! A person that understands me!! 🙌🏽😁 I was thinking why people from these counties are so attached to their coffee flavor. And maybe that’s because they put a lot of will and effort into developing the “adult” taste pallet. Like I bet that the first time someone drinks bitter espresso - they hate it. But they keep seeing other adults around them loving it, they see it in movies, and how much it praised. So they teach themselves to love it that way. What do you think?
@kevinor88115 ай бұрын
I think it’s just ingrained in the culture now and that’s what they see espresso as. I own a third wave coffee shop in Dublin and whenever the rugby is on the Italians are not shy in telling me our espresso is bland and underwhelming. I’ve gone past having a dialogue with them about the merits of sourcing and using single origin coffee and roasting it lighter than they’re used to. Now I just thank them for their business and suggest some more traditional coffee shops around the city. There’s room for everyone and different tastes but I do find it annoying when you’re in coastal towns around the med and there is zero options other than burnt to a crisp lavezza or the like
