I'm a Londoner who has lived in Glasgow for the last 4 years. I'm moving to Germany next week. I'm really going to miss it and only have good things to say about the people. Salt of the Earth. There are more polar bears roaming the streets than there are Tories here so you can't go far wrong. There's no need to go to the Edinburgh Festival because Glaswegians are funny all year round and you don't have to pay for it.

That is pretty funny mate. We don't try and be funny mate ,we canny effin help it. I remember my Faither, dock worker, staring oot the window. My wee Ma would be 100 yards away with the messages, groceries they called in England. It would take her 40 minutes to get home. Kept bumping into women and more chat chat. My Da would be raging , Ma would get to house , Father would be raging. But he wasn't it was all a laugh. There is a big saying in Glasgow. "Who Gives A Flying Fu%k?. Peace.

As someone that’s lived their whole life in Glasgow I love your video mate. I’m a big fan of anything remotely documentary like so your quick and easy to digest summary of the city as someone looking from the outside of Glasgow is superb. I think your video is very informative and would be a great help to anyone thinking of moving here as well as giving a great history of our city. I’m proud you chose to live here big man, keep up the good work

I can see the positives he is mentioning, but he forgot the heroin use, the NEDs, the muggings, knife violence, the rangers outburst, how fierce the rivalry between the rangers and Celtic is, and most of all the statue Of Arthur Wellesley, with his traffic cones.

I’m an ex-Londoner now living in Argyll and I love Glasgow. My wife and I have just returned from a short City-break there and we had such a great time. We visited the Kelvingrove museum, Glasgow University, The Botanic Gardens, and a multitude of shops and eateries. If you’re visiting for the first time I recommend a bus tour starting in George Square, it really helps you to get your bearings. We even took in the pub where Billy Connolly started his career. As a person born and raised in London I felt very at home in Glasgow, it has the same vibe and young folk everywhere due to the three universities and huge central college. The people are great, the history is fascinating, and the architecture is a real pleasure. We live in a very rural area so Glasgow is our little city fix every now and then.

You are right, Glasgow ISN'T a place that most people would think of visiting, partly due to the reputation for violence that was true 30-40 years ago. I've spent a lot of time there, and it's certainly no worse than any other big city, and safer than many places I could mention including Manchester, Sheffield and London! Well worth a visit. Beautiful city, and the locals are great people!

But although Clydebank is its own town,it's pretty much the start of the west end of Glasgow or greater Glasgow area coming from the west heading east.As soon as you come of the Erskine bridge and head east ,that's were the built up areas starts in Clydebank. Most people from Clydebank were born in a Glasgow hospital and it has a post code G81 and I'd say most people from there would class themselves Glaswegian.Im from there ,and always have.

Thanks for your take on my home city. I love the old place. Although some of the things I've witnessed recently, usually on Twitter and other social media sites, has been horrible to witness. It's like tribalism on steroids. But let's not go there. I loved your qoute about the weather here, being so cold and dull. "Although the warmth of the Glaswegians makes up for it." That was really cool. Cheers buddy. Thanks for this one. I'll be sharing this on twitter. It's about time they seen something positive about our dear green place. #LetGlasgowFlourish 👍

Excellent video accentuating then positive sides of Glasgow ( there are negatives like the weather , violent crime etc,) and glad you mentioned the multi-cultural aspect of the city. You can hear people of Indian, Pakistani, Chinese origin all speaking with a broad Glasgow dialect. Best Indo /Pak restaurants and fish and chip shops in the WORLD And a unique sense of humor which Billy Connelly attributes to our broad ethnic mix (Irish, Jewish, Irish etc.)

I was born here and some things make me proud to be Glaswegian, however, many things don't, including the current government and council which has spent the past 14 years wrecking the place... overflowing rubbish, graffiti... the apart from a few streets the town centre is a crap hole. The west end is OK but the east end where I'm from is also a state. I want to move to prestwick or somewhere near the sea.

I moved to glasgow during lockdown for family reasons. Its definately pretty grim now compared to before. There are a lot of homeless issues with guys partucularly. Still enjoy the beautiful architecture.
