Address registry, health insurance, residency card, taxes, and more! Everything noone tells you has to be done within 14 days of moving to Japan, but an oversight thatll end up costing you thousands of dollars (or worse!).
In this video I go through all the things I had to do with moving to a city in Japan. My one beef with Japan is that noone tells you that you need to do this. I found out because of friends...
When you register yourself at your local city office you get a little package explaining all of the important things you need as a citizen, I just wish they would hand you this upon entry into the country. SO many "I got a court date!" or "I got my visa revoked!" posts on reddit from people who just genuinely didnt know you had to do x within y time frame.
Anywayyyssss. Now that thats out of the way. Here is everything I did in the first 25 days of living in Tokyo Japan.
